The new quest system is sort of interesting, although the one quest currently available is rather long. Thankfully, you get both gold and items from it. You do have to buy something from Barton Boutique, though, and you do have to change your outfit, not just click "Save Changes" on your current one, so there are no shortcuts, except for the Daily Chance part of the quest.
