More work, less dilly-dallying.
That is what I expect next sunday when we go to clean the rest of the cabin for this end-of-year.
Ed managed to give the kitchen and dining room an excellent clean-up, the rest of the guys cleaned off the sofas and pillows, but took too much time talking and joking around. With electricity, hopefully the clean up will be quicker. It is only fair to say that the weather wasn't too kind as well. Each time the guys placed the furniture outside to have the sun dry it from the humidity, a small shower surprised us all.
The driveway was partially cleared to allow low-hung cars easy access instead of having them hit their bellies.
The bathroom, which was my task for that morning, was completely clean and useable when I was done with it. Now that I had time to get a good look at my family's cabin, I feel like there should be more openable windows. Air would circulate better that way. Oh well, the poor place has seen so little use in the past 8~9 months, that I feel bad for the little care we have been able to give it.
More close to home, I feel disgusted. I love my work, that much is true What I hate is when suddenly, my bosses think that free bonuses are the way to go. They just don't realize that the internet is a vast place that touches the minds and hearts of placid idiots that still think there is a free lunch in the world. To the potential clients, I say 'grow the hell up' To my bosses, I say 'fie on you', but even so, work I have to accomplish and bonuses to grant. Don't interpret my rant wrong. I am a person who, while not relishes work, likes to have his mind and hands occupied in worthwhile tasks. Giving out freebies is not a worthwhile endeavour, however, no matter how you put it.
