Please read this poem and think about it.
You peg me as a brainiac,
but that's not the real me,
look deeper than the surface,
and then you will see.
There's so much more that meets the eye,
there's so much more to me,
but even to my friends,
the brainiac is all that they can see.
I have so many interests,
but people don't see that me,
the only thing they notice,
is how good at math I can be.
Acting, climbing, soccer, karate,
all of these things I do and in them easily flow,
I want people to see that side of me,
not just how much I know.
So please, pass this on,
even if you've never felt this way,
to simply tell people to look beneath the surface,
please, let's start this change today.
