My Father went into war when I was about three years of age. I could never remember his face. After all, I was only three. My mother took on four different jobs to keep the house running, so my family had several Maids taking care of us. One, I fell deeply in love with - Ashley Yocam. They let me play with her when we were young, I bet she still remembers.
Several years passed, and my father never came back, I hoped he is still alive. Bad news came into the house hold. My two brothers and one sister huddled around one Maid, and she read the letter to us. It was about Father, he passed on. I ran inside my room, just crying. Ashley would come in my room to comfort me. I got past my father's death a few weeks later.
At the age of thirteen, I obtained my powers. Apparently, my Father had these powers, too. But my Mother was too afraid to tell anyone inside or outside the family. I lit the house on fire a few times, misfiring my fire. But still, not even Ashley knew my secret. I hope she never does. Well, until I can trust her enough to tell her.
