Into the Darkness

There he was just standing in the dark alley way. Between the two drenched buildings.

All I could hear were the rain drops hitting the Earth's surface and... his footsteps.

I was just standing there, I had no where to go, so I watched him.

All he did was pace, back and forth.

Then I saw it, or them, or him...

A young woman came out of the building to the right.

She started walking towards me.

I didn't know what to do, I still watched.

Then the man or... or thing, ran up behind her, I closed my eyes only until I heard a scream.

A scream so loud that it hurt my soul.

Then at that exact moment my eyes darted open,

that is when I saw the woman laying dead on the Earth's floor.

The man saw me, I started to run, but he just kept up!

Then all of a sudden I hit the black road with him on top of me.

I closed my eyes expecting the worst... then I felt it, the pain in my neck was so unbearable I drifted off into a restless slumber.

I soon woke up to the warmth of a wet substance hitting my lips... blood,

at first it was

grotesque,

but then... then it became a desire to my whole body.

I NEEDED IT!

And that is when I fell into the Darkness!
Ever since infancy, the moon has sang to me a tender lullaby.
From her palace high up in the sky, she bathed me in her soft, warm glow.
Through the window sill her light shone down upon my oak wood cradle.
And, under the spell of her tender touch, contentedly I would sleep. Lavender scents would fill the air, every evening that she came.
Her golden locks were laced with flowers and many sparkling jewels.
About her, she wore an ebon cloak, the darkness found in night.
And, when the wind of the north would blow, silent she would become.
Clouded days to oft I'd see that hid her from my eyes.
Although I searched throughout the gray, she I could not find.
In blackness then, I would lie staring towards the window.
And, without the warmth of her pale, sweet light, my heart ceased not to weep.
Days went by she remained unseen, behind her darkened veils.
Then soon at last, she peered around with gentle patient smile.
I watched her then, with quiet eyes, listening for her voice.
And, when once again she began to sing, I would fall into peaceful, dream-filled
rest.
~Oh Mother moon please hold me,
And gently rock me in the cradle of your arms~
