I just stayed up 24 consecutive hours writing a term paper comparing the idealistic medieval warrior as portrayed in early British literature with actual warrior behavior.
I don't remember if it went well or not, but I'm pretty sure that I compared Beowulf to Martha Stewart in one part of my essay. . . . I'm not sure whether I should laugh or cry.

So, about me: I'm an unemployed paleontologist just trying to get by in the world. I live at home and if you think that's lame, you can bite me. ^_^ I'm applying for my doctorate in paleontology and biomechanics, but as you can probably guess those are kind of niche areas and there aren't many openings. I do work as a volunteer research assistant for a professor at Mercer University. This semester I'll be a TA for a neuroanatomy lab. The prospect excites me more than it should! I'll also have the opportunity to give a lecture on the application of Finite Element Analysis on investigations into cranial mechanics. The prospect frightens me more than is should.
If I'm online, it most likely means I'm procrastinating. I should probably be writing a paper of something. Do me a favor and tell me to go do my work if you see me around.

I'm basically a patient care technician as I'm nationally certified as a phlebotomy and EKG technician and a nursing assistant. Not sure why I'm not working yet... the process of applying for jobs is very frustrating though... so I guess that's part of it...

Best of luck on the GRE's. I know I used to hate math, but after I had to take Pre-Calc... something about it really made me like it. I'm still glad I don't have to use it as an everyday occurrence though.
