I will always fish in a room I create. So if you're looking for a "face to face" chat, look there.
If it has a password, take a moment to blame those who enter games rooms just to sit there, neither chatting nor fishing, taking up space that could be used for a friend or new user. Then blame Gaia for not having a feature that automatically kicks users out of rooms for inactivity. Then compose yourself, and ask me for the password. I don't bite. biggrin
DO NOT GIVE MY PASSWORD AWAY LIKE IT'S FREE MONEY YOU DON'T NEED. ASK ME FIRST. IF I WANTED PEOPLE I DIDN'T KNOW HANGING OUT IN MY ROOM, IT WOULDN'T HAVE A PASSWORD. THANK YOU. biggrin
Courtesy Rules/Suggestions
1. My room is for mostly fishing, with some chatting. If you're not on my friend's list, please don't enter if you're not going to fish. The rooms are too small for that, and too many times my friends can't get in because of that.
2. Even if you're on my friends list, if you're going AFK for more than a half hour to an hour, I'd like it if you left. Again, the rooms are too small for that, and too many times my friends can't get in because of those who do such.
3. If you notice you're falling asleep, please sign off and go to sleep. Going to sleep at the computer is bad for your health and the such. It also falls under courtesy suggestion 2.
I don't like putting up such rules, but a lot of chatting makes the game lag for me, especially chatting with colored fonts. As I said before, I also have good friends, and I feel bad when they can't enter because someone decided they were just going to leave their avi there like it's a waiting room and not a gameroom. If Gaia Fishing could hold 10 avatars per room, it would be ok, but it can't, so please show some courtesy.
I really like the casual fishing community and those who occasionally or repeatedly enter my room. I'd rather not chuck up a locked room with a password just so people could enter. Thank you, and thanks for fishing with me! <3
