Its a very good attempt! There really aren't that many items to use. I tried doing Balmung but completely failed because they didn't have all the items I needed at the time smile.
the magna wasn't nearly as perverse as the anime. the only reason i enjoy the LofT anime was because balmung and sanjuro were there to kick data bug hind quarters
Tektek is the best place to go for avatar related things. I hope you can find stuff for your avi. I'm a big fan of .hack. i have both game series, the first two anime, and the legend of twilight manga.

My fave is the roots-g.u. part. Its a bit more gritty and mature compared to the other. though //sign was pretty good.
