The name's Mayhem. Melanie Mayhem. I go by other aliases, but here I'm Melanie Mayhem. So I'm pretty much awesome if I do say so myself. Sure, I act a little paranoid sometimes and I'm usually embarrassing myself nearly 24/7, I'm emotional, I get a little crazy, and I'm considered weird, but that's what makes me awesome. I've always said that as long as you are yourself and stay true to that, you're totally awesome. We all have awesome in us, some people are just too shy and nervous to show it.
I don't label myself. I think people who label themselves are too nervous about what others might think of them, so they generalize themselves to fit in, and people who label others are too judgmental to get to know a person.
I have sort of a unique style - rocker-ish and bold. I love Japanese and Japanese-influenced things like Sanrio and tokidoki. I love Japan. Well, I've never been, but I would love to go more than anything. Well, there's other places I wish to visit too, like England, Italy, France, California...
I'm usually a shy sort of person. I keep quiet. I'm always thinking. I'm probably too nice. But that's okay. I like that I'm not a mean person. Most of the time. I can be very funny and silly if I want, though. I'm a pretty humorous person. I don't take life or anything seriously. I'm not afraid to speak my mind. I'm good at debating. I can win in any debate on pretty much any subject. Especially political ones. I stay true to my beliefs and I'll fight for them.
I believe in peace. I think it's awful when people are judgmental, violent, hateful, and inconsiderate. I'm a treehugger and a vegetarian.
I love to write. Anything. Short stories, novels, poems, lyrics, nonfiction, blogs, whatever. It's my passion. One of them, anyway. My others are drawing (I like doing all sorts of art, but especially drawing), technology, computer programming (I've been trying to get into it but haven't really paid it much attention), playing guitar (still learning, but I love it), video games (they don't call me Quickfingers for nothing), photography (with a crappy Cyber-Shot for now, but I have to make do), and hugging Pikachus.
I love music. I listen to it 24/7 (almost). I love finding new music to jam out to. I like all kinds of music. My tastes are pretty varied. Some of my favorite bands /artists/whatever include Radiohead, Beck, Bloc Party, Interpol, Placebo, UNKLE, Metric, Filter, The Strokes, Nirvana, AFI, Silversun Pickups, The Killers...there's A LOT more, but I don't have the room to list them all, and you probably don't have the patience to read through them all. I love to read. I read anything - books, magazines, manga, whatever. There's simply too many books I love to list them here. I read way too much.
I don't watch TV. Well, occasionally. Very rarely. When I do, usually it's music videos on MTV or VH1 or the shopping channel or something. Or a movie. I do watch a lot of movies.
