Yeah, Gackt is alright too x] hehe. Love anything japanese, eh? then go listen to Mono, The Mad Capsule Markets, Sigh, Galneryus, Church Of Misery and Blood Stain Child! 8'D wheee~... hmm I think out of all the tons of J-rock bands I've listened to, one that stood out somewhat was Versailles. Check them out if you've not listened to yet ;]

oh! and I know what you should try, they're not japanese but they use traditional japanese instruments, orchestras, choirs, narrators, samurai themed lyrics, über insane keyboard and guitar solos, etc..... The band goes by the name of "Whispered" >;3 and yesh, they are pretty darn epic...lol

yyyeah, I know Dir En Grey ;] they're okay. I'm not very much into the J-rock scene really, as about 94% of all J-rock bands sound identical. x__X (Do they produce all their vocalists in a factory?) Not to say I hate japanese music though, because I don't. There's plenty of good japanese bands out there that do not play J-pop or J-rock.
Dir En Grey is alright though. I have not dug too deep into their music but they're fine. ^^
