When the sun sets and the sky grows dark as i lift my weary feet along the dusty road sirens wail in the distance children are crying people are fighting gunshots ring out in the cool night air, i gaze at the moon so peaceful and calm and everything fades away as if washed by the soothing light my thoughts turn to u i close my eyes and picture your smooth brown skin your serene eyes and your angelic smile the world seems a better place no pain no anguish just your voice whispering in the wind softly saying soon we'll be together soon no one will be able to separate us
