Today i shat my pants (In Wales!)
Yesterday I got back from mountaineering in Wales (Wales is a small country attached to the west of England its part of the UK. Its full of sheep.) pictures will be posted soon User Image. I'v been to the Welsh mountains twice before but its was the first time I'v been to snowdonia this trip.
I went up there with my Explorer Scout group, people i'v known most of my life so it was a good laugh and many pranks where played.

We where staying in a hostel in a valley in the middle of the snowdonia mountain range.

As we arrived at the hostel three black jet fighters flew down the valley, going very ******** fast, very loud. Which was pretty damn cool User Image.

The first day we spent driving up there, which was a 5 hour minibus journey, not too exciting apart from taking pictures of people sleeping and messing around in the service stations on the way up there.

Second day we went on a small hike (10 kilometers) around the nearby mountains, there was no path on the way up so we had to climb and scramble over rocks, I often had to climb ahead and find a path that some of the less fit people could actually get up (*strokes ego* User Image).
One person called Ted managed to fall off while climbing, he rolled backwards down the hill before managing to stop himself scaring the s**t out of everyone User Image
The rest of the hike was less eventfull mainly walking back down, cracking jokes and talking about old times User Image

Third day we hiked up snowdon, which is the highest point in Wales, there was alot of other people walking up it because its a popular tourist spot (its funny seeing people walking up mountains with all this hiking equipment that the people in hiking shops have convinced them that they need, damn noobs User Image)

The weather was really good this day, a few people came back with red faces and white eyes where they where wearing sunglasses User Image
We ate lunch on the roof of the cafe/train station that was at the top of the mountain (it was closed)
There where some Irish people smoking pot up there who I was talking to, apparently they've now gotten high on the highest points in Irland, Scottland, England and Wales User Image

We then walked along the ridge from snowdon to a couple of other mountains, at one point the ridge was about the width of a table (just over a meter), everyone had to go single file across it.
At the top of the one of the other mountains we got to called crib goch the highest point is technically at the top of one of two large rocks at the summet, a few of us climbed up them and jumped the distance between the smaller and larger one to be at the top (after our responsible User Image leader did it first)

That was the last day of actuall hiking so in the evening we broke out the beers and everyone got drunk, people who fell asleep first woke up to find they had tooth paste or shaving foam all over their face and other stuff like that happened. Including the "hackey sack" tornament which was kicking a hippy style bean filled sack thing around between people not letting it touch the floor (before we got drunk).

Another 5 hours driving back on the last day, while stopping at a service station on the way back we went to get food at Burger King, while in the que a boy nicknamed Tufti had his trousers and underwear yanked down. Which made the entire que and BK employees crack up with laughterUser Image

After that we arrived back, unpacked our stuff and went down to the park. Sat down on the grass in the nice sunny weather a had a few beers User Image

It really was, all though lots of people are like "How can walking for a long time up a really steep hill be fun?" if you where there with us, you'd have enjoyed it too biggrin

Its cool to be able to say you've climbed a mountain aswell. I'd estimate i'd been to the summit of at least 15 mountains.

Sounds impressive but some of them are from mountain top to mountain top. Which are connected by ridges, so you don't have to go the whole height down to get up to the next summit.
