Cockily, Ashi thought she could make the first move and get the jump on her without your attention. She attempted a roundhouse punch at the monster's head, but it quickly dodged with ease, lashing out at Ashi with its tongue. It grabbed her by the wrist, and the next thing you knew Ashi had been surged with a strong electrical current. Startled, you rushed to her aid, trying to pull her out of its reach and hoping that with physical contact you'll take in some of the charge. But after a moment, you realized you'd seemed to be absorbing the charge somehow. Deciding that it couldnt hurt you, you thought quickly and pushed Ashi out of the way, grasping the monster with both hands now and trying to deny the charges access to your own body. The blocked energy is sent back to the SOL and totally back fires! The only set back...well the next thing you knew you'd been tossed aside like a hunk a junk against the dirty alley wall. You push yourself up and prop your side against the wall for a moment, regaining balance. Then you stand up wobbly and brush yourself off, looking over to Ashi, "Hey...everything ok over there...? No...broken bones...limbs...egos..."
Scowling at you for that last sarcastic comment, she rose to her feet, gripping the wall behind her to stay up, "Shut...shut up!" She stretched the muscles in her neck and shook off the numbness in her arms, "But how the hell am I supposed to kill what I cant touch?!"
Realizing the truth in her words, you bit your bottom lip and tried to con your way out of it as usual, but nothing came to mind. Then the uberly coolest thing caught your eye. Your hands had been glowing with energy, and you could feel the blood in your body pulsing. You stared down wide-eyed, ~The charge from that last attack...somehow my body...'stored it' or something...but what can I-~
Your thoughts were interrupted when you looked up to see the SOL regaining consciousness and rising to its feet again, licking its lips. You could see Ashi preparing for another impact, her body tensing and her fists raised defensively, but she didnt move from her current place without your consent this time. Your breath quickened and your mind raced, "Eh...gotta think...!" Your attention went to what had just happened, ~Electricity...it seems to be our only lead right now. Maybe if we super charge things up around here, we'll get outta this with our butts in tact...~ A playful smirk finally slid across your face, "Hey, Ashi, come here quick!"
Inching over towards you carefully, trying not to take her eyes off of the current 'problem' she got to you, leaning in and whispering, "What-"
You took her hands in yours and looked her in the eyes, "Ive got an idea, but tell me if it hurts ok?"
She raised an eyebrow to you suspiciously, but nodded reluctantly as you clasped your hands around hers and centered your focus. You closed your eyes, concentrating on the pulsing vibrations in your skin and trying to transmit a small portion of it to Ashi's body without shocking the crap out of her. Her hands began to glow faintly and she winced a bit, trying not to pull away from the pain and brake whatever you were working so hard to create. Finally the connection broke, leaving Ashi with slightly scorched hands, but they glowed faintly. They may not have been as bright as yours, but it still seemed to give off a somewhat strong vibe. You took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, trying to shake off the headache the whole thing had given you, "Eh...Mkay then! Have at the b***h!"
You shot her a quick wink and she diverted her attention from her hands back to you, her shocked expression changing to a totally psyched one! After quick thumbs up, she charged the monster, knocking it back off its feet and sending it into the wall. She examined her hands, still glowing faintly, "She...didnt shock me! Whatd you do?!"
You rubbed the back of your head casually, "Well...Im not really...sure...heh...but hey! Who cares how it happens as long as that isnt here long enough to know, right?!"
She smirked, shrugging the topic off coolly, "Well, not like she stood a chance, anyway..."
You rolled your eyes and grinned, "Your such a stooge..."
"HEY!!!"

So you and Ashi have a ball, kicking a** and what not! Finally she goes down like the freggin fat a** she is! HA! Yes...anyway!
You jump up and down excitedly, "Yeah! That was totally hot!"
Brushing herself off, Arashi only snorted, "Well...she had it coming..."
By now you'd rushed up to it, who was now lying limp, it's back slumping against the wall, "Oh, not so high-and-mighty now, huh?!" Mocking it amusingly, "Oh, look at me, Im a big bad granny! Fear me and my nasty ole cookie cutter of doom! Well ya know what happens to the granny, don't ya? One day the big bad wolf comes along and BAM! NO more granny! Yeah, that's right! Concider yourself BAMED!" You turned away, crossing your arms stubornly, "Hmph...I'm a wolf you know...oooooh, didn't see that coming, huh? HUH?!"
Watching you quietly, a sweat drop down the back of her head, Arashi shook her head, "I think she gets it, Suki!"
Jerks in her direction, giggling nervously and rubbing the back of your head, "Heh...right...!"
Looking around the alley, Arashi's face suddenly lit up, and she rushed to the corner of the alley and picked up a brown paper bag. She stood in front of the SOL and threw the matted bag over her head. She leaned back, examining her work, and smirked in approval.
You'd been watching intently, following her movement back and forth across the alley. You cocked your head at her reasoning and narrowed your eyes, "You know...something's missing..."
She turned to you, "Oh really? Whats that?"
You giggled, kneeling down by the SOL and pulling a marker from your knapsack. You snapped the cap off and tossed it aside, biting your lip and running the tip over the paper craftily. When you finished you dropped the marked and rubbed your thumb across the side of your nose smugly, "There! Now I dont have to worry about seeing that ugly mug in my nightmares!"
Arashi burst out laughing, "Touch!"
You smirked, "Yes...yes, I know..."

Then...outta nowhere, you hear a familiar voice from around the corner just outside the alley, "Hey there, strangers..."
You turned to notice Yusuke leaning casually against the wall and Kuwabara standing stupidly...over there...way over there... (can you tell i really don't care?) and you both panicked. You quickly shaded your faces with your hands in hopes of hiding your identities...trying to brush past them, you both headed for the opening in the alley. Ashi finally spoke up nearly inaudibly, trying to disguise her voice, "Uh...hello people...whom Ive never seen before ever! Nice to meet you...!"
You play along, following close behind, "Oh yes...uh...of course...! Not allowed to talk to strangers, you know!"
Youd almost managed to escape, but Yusuke grabbed hold of your school blouse collar, leaving you to flail your arms about in an attempt to pull away...so...you failed...! You whined, "Eh...Yusuke...! Let go, damn it!"
He smirked, "Oh, Im sorry. Have we met?"
Your eye twitched, and you stopped struggling. You glared at him and pulled away forcefully, but by the time you had hed let go, leaving you to fall to the ground... Arashi just stared at you sweat dropping, "You...Youre hopeless...!"
You sighed, pushing yourself up into an Indian style position and running your fingers through your hair, "Whatever hey! Dont start with me! I did just totally save your butt!"
She glared at you then jerked her head away, crossing her arms, "I coulda done it without you..."
You gaped, springing to your feet, "Wanna say that again?!"
She turned to you again, smirking, "I...could have done...it...without YOU!"
Well...this totally sent sparks flying between the totally intense glares you two had going on there! You pulled your sleeve up your forearm, ready to return to a fighting position, "OH, its on now!" Arashi was just standing there smugly, while you practically through yourself at her, but found yourself held back by Yusuke again. You shouted back at him angrily, "C'mon...lemme at her..eh...would you rather me take it out on you!?!
He sighed and let go, but Ashi had stepped back out of your reach unnoticed, and you fell back to the ground. You huffed, hearing snickers from Arashi and Yusuke, and you sighed reluctantly, "I'll kill you all..." You stumbled to your feet quickly and brushed yourself off. Just then you notice the guy who'd introduced himself as Kurama to you earlier join your lil group. He looked over at the SOL and was shocked to find it...dead...he turned to you and Arashi, "I suppose this was your doing?"
You blinked at first, turning to the corner, then back to him wondering where the hell he came from, but you shook your head and shot him a grin, a your fingers V-shaped, "You betcha! We totally fried her circuits, huh?!"
He chuckled, "Only one thing left to attend to then, if Im not mistaken..."
You giggled, "Whats that?!"
Yusuke nodded, "Kurama?"
You noticed Kuwabara and Yusuke, look away to try and hide their facial expressions, and a smirk appear on Kurama's. You and Arashi exchanged a suspicious glance, and the next thing you knew, he'd reached into his long hair and brought out a single red rose. The two of you gaped, and Arashi tried to restrain laughter while you cocked your head, confused and mumbling under your breath, "Huh...talk about flower power, huh...but uh...kinda girly, don't ya think...?"
Just then you heard him shout 'Rose Whip', and the next thing you knew, the flower had turned into some sort of weapon...
You and Arashi straightened out immediately, and you choked, "Oh...Of course why didn't I think of that...?!"
With a flick of his wrist, the whip was flung at Arashi, restraining her movement. She struggled against the tight hold, but nothing seemed to work. The vine was just too hard to break free of. She clenched her teeth and glared at Yusuke, "What the hell?!?! Yusuke, whats going on?!"
Taken by surprise by his actions, you shook off the shock and hurried to Arashis side, but before you could you felt a strong hand grab the side of your head and pull you back. It spun you around in the process, and you found yourself face to face with Hiei. He stared you down, and your face flushed a bit, his hand seeming to burn the flesh on your cheek. His gaze quickly turned to a stern glare, but when he noticed you wince in pain he released you momentarily. As soon as he had you turned and tried to push away. He blinked at your reflexes, but quickly smirked, "Hn. Pathetic..." He grabbed you by the shoulder, jerking you around forcefully and pulling your back into his chest, his forearm pressed firmly across your chest, and you completely froze. You heard the sound of metal chafe across something, and you felt the cold metal of his katana brush your neck lightly, then he moved his hand from your shoulder to your mouth, ~You arent going anywhere...~
Your eyes narrowed angrily, but you couldnt bring yourself to move and jeopardize the skin around your neck, "Mmmhmhmm...hmph... (translation: God damn it, you b*****d! Go on, you wanna start something?! Cuz that thing of yours wont be stabbing my back...stupid...)"
Arashi put up a stronger fight after seeing you that way, "Hey, b*****d, let Suki go!!!" Just then she raised an eyebrow at her comment, then shook her head, pulling at the vine again, "Wait a sec...let me go!!!" Tired of getting absolutely nowhere, she charged Kurama in hopes of knocking the whip from his hand, but only provoked him further. He thrashed the whip around and she found the whip wrapped around her remaining free hand. She attempts to kick at him wildly, but the movement she makes only opens up the opportunity to him and allows him to tangle her up further.
You glared at her stupidity from above Hiei's hand and let out low growl, "Hmm... (translation: Way to go...couldn't have done it better myself...looserface...)"


Yusuke sighed, looking around to make sure they werent attracting too much attention, "Alright, let's get these two outta here before they cause a scene..."
Arashi glared at him, "Hey, I'm not going anywhere with you until you give us some answers, damn it!"
Kurama smiled down at her, "Relax, were not going to hurt you. We just need you both to come with us...it's for your own safety..."
Her eyes narrowed, "You're kidding, right?"
You closed your eyes tightly and tried to struggle without pushing to far from Hiei and getting your neck sliced. But when you realized he only tightened his grip and the katana seemed to move closer to your neck, you decided to take and chance do the next best thing. You kicked him back in the shins, and he removes his hand from your mouth, allowing you to speak but still not able to move, "Ashi, don't do it! Eh...run! Get outta- mhmhm...!"
Before you could finish, Hiei quickly returned his hand to your mouth, "Damn...youre a handful..."
You smirked smugly, "Hmph... (translation: Hmph...!)"
He pulled you in closer, ~Try it again, and I wont be so forgiving...~
You blinked and let out a muffled nervous laugh, ~Yeah, sure...wouldnt dream of it...and hey, you got something to say to me, then say it god damn it! Stay out of my head...!~
He smirked, ~Hn.~
Your eyes narrowed and you shook your head, ~No...don't test me DON'T...do it...~
Arashi glared at you, tugging uncomfortably at the vine after falling over to the ground in an attempt to untangle herself, "Does it look like I'm in any position to 'run away', stupid?!"
You let out a long sigh, directing your attention back to her and whining, "Hmmhmhmhm... (translation: Eh...but...why?! Wait...why are you on the ground...?)"
Kurama smiled and walked over to her, kneeling down and retrieving his whip then picking her up bridal style against her will, "Come on...lets go."
She resisted, yelling loudly, "Hey, put me down!!! Dont think Ill come quietly!!!"
But he only began walking and catching up with the others, motioning for Hiei to follow. He nodded, returning his katana to its sheath. He spun you around to face him again and slung you over his shoulder, then began walking a far behind the others, placing a far distance between you and the rest of the group.
You flailed your arms and legs about angrily, "Hey, dude, I think I deserve a little personal space, thank you very much! You know...my own little bubble?! Not like Im asking for my very own glass case of emotion, or anything! Im not that selfish but I would like a little leg room, if thats ok with you!"
"Hn."
"And God did give me legs for a reason, you know! Mind letting me use them?!"
"Hn..."
You huffed and crossed your arms in disgust, "Well, do ya have to hold on that tightly?! I just know somethings gonna fall asleep...you're probably like...cutting off the circulation or something! What if I faint up here, huh?! Then what'll ya do, hm? Cuz ya know...lack of blood and such...not a cool thing to do. Hey, this one time-"
He tightened his grip and you coughed a bit under the pressure, "Eh...hey! How rude! What did you do that for?!"
He smirked, "You talk too much..."
"Well, if I dont who will?!"
"Exactly..."
You blinked, seemingly lost in thought for a moment, and then shook your head, "I don't get it..."
He sighed, frustrated, "Got to hell..."
You giggled, "After you!"
You could feel his body tense beneath you, and you could tell he was getting pretty fed up. You bit your bottom lip and spoke up quietly, "Only trying to hold my end of the conversation..."
"Hn..."
"Though it would be easier if you held up yours. Mine's getting pretty darn heavy over here. But hey! I can improv..."
"You dont catch on very quickly, do you? Hn...give it up..."
You sighed, "Not much on sharing feelings, are you?"
You couldn't see it from behind him, but you knew his gaze had turned to a glare, his teeth clenched, "Do I look like a ******** people person?!"
You shook your head, "Naw...not really...but you seem like a cool enough person...you just need to lighten up a bit!"
He opened his mouth to scream something, but decided otherwise and just responded with the usual, "Hn."
You nudged him in the back playfully, "C'mon, now! I bet there's a fun Hiei in there somewhere! Just...way down deep...! That tiny itty bitty one...way in there...you just need to, you know...eh...how could you? I don't think I even know. Damn...what am I saying...? Eh...drop me a hint or two, will ya?"
He smirked, "You're trying to figure me out? I'm flattered..." His expression quickly returned to it's stern, emotionless state, "But don't try to change me. You'll only fail miserably."
You cocked your head, "What's there to change?"
"What...?"
You smiled sweetly, "I think you're fine the way you are! Hey, you're happy, I'm happy! What else matters? As a matter of fact, I bet we could be pretty good friends, you know? I'm hyper and you...you're...well you're just...not but anyway! Look at it through my point of view here: I'm tons of fun, and you're no fun at all!" You giggled and nudged him teasingly, "See?! It all works out! I...complete you...!"
He shook his head, smirking, "You dont know what youre getting yourself into, do you...? You have no idea...
"...Huh...? Hm...well...I suppose I'd be getting into a pretty good friendship, how 'bout you?!"
"Hn. In my eyes, friendship is only a crutch for the weak..."
Despite his comment, you smiled, "You don't really think that, though, do you?"
"Hn."
You giggled, "Well...I think you'd make a great friend! You seem like quite the protective kind, you know? That's always a good friend trait to have!"
He turned his head back to you, his eyebrow raised, only to see that you were sincere in your comment by the look on your face. He blushed slightly, shocked, and then turned his head forward again abruptly to hide it, "Hn...thats a new one..."
You sighed, defeated, "Oh...sorry..."
Caught off guard by your comment, he turned his head back to you again best he could, seeing as how you were still over his freggin shoulder, "For what?"
You kinda looked down a bit, not sure how to respond, "Well...I mean...I didn't mean to get you angry or anything...so, I guess...sorry just seemed like the thing to say at the moment..."
He turned his head back to face the direction he was walking again and stared down at the ground, "Forget it..."
You nodded subtly, "Yeah...ok...wait forget what?"
He had that 'you've gotta be kidding me' look on his face, and just shook his head, smirking, "You really are something..."
You blinked for a moment, "Uh...huh...ok, whatever..." You thought you might've heard him chuckle at the comment, but thinking it was totally unlikely, you just blew the possibility off...after a while you sighed, "Hey...could you uh...could you let me down?"
"No..."
You whined, "Aww, c'mon! We're friends now, arent we...?"
He rolled his eyes, "No..."
You sighed, "Whatever...the offer still stands..."
He smirked, adjusting you slightly on his shoulder and tightening his grip again to keep you from falling, "I'll keep that in mind, onna..."

Yes...thanks a lot, Suki...you just totally wasted my time - you're such a time waster!

(Suki: *sniffle* So...insensitive...!)

(Hiei: *smirk*)

(Suki: *glare* If you don't wipe that smirk off your face, I'll do it for you, b*****d!)

(Hiei: *seemingly amused* Hn...I'd like to see you try...)

(Suki: Ohoho! It's on now, buddy!)

(Suki: *attempts to glomp but he disappears, leaving my roundhouse to swing wildly and fail...*)

(Hiei: *turns up behind me and grabs me around the waist, smirking* Hn...this really is pathetic...)

(Suki: *glare* Alright...you...you're done - LET GO!)

(Hiei: *lets go reluctantly and walk away* Hn...have it your way*)

(Suki: AHH! *I totally fall out of his arms and onto the ground...jumps to my feet, waving a finst in the air and shouting angrily in te direction he'd left in* C'MON!!! WHAT? yOU SCARED?! *crosses arms* Hmph...not like it comes as any shock or anything but-)

(Hiei: *turns up behins me and flicks me in the back of the head*)

(Suki: Eh... *rubs back of head* Owie...)

(Hiei: *smirk* Will you ever learn...)

(Suki: *glare* Not like that I won't!!!)

(Hiei: *chuckle*)

(Ashi: *walking up and seeing me give Hiei a total death glare, then lok to a smug Hiei...sighs* Alright...you play a couple in the anime...mind at least trying to act like it?!

(Hiei and Suki: *glaring at Ashi now, slightly blushing*)

(Ashi: *smirk* Yeah...that's what I thought...it's just a cover, huh? That's right - don't try to fool me! You may have those bakas punked, but I'm just too smart for that- *notices us walking away disgusted* HEY!!! C'MON, YOU KNOW I'M RIGHT! *sigh, turning to you* Alright...seeing as these two have 'other things' to attend to *smirks to herself* I guess the task of informing you has been left to me. Ahem...next time on Angel in a Hoodie: Koenma will tell us how the hell we're demons in the first place. Exciting yes, freaky yes, something you should miss? Not a chance! See you all next time! *starts chasing after us* HEY, WAIT UP, YOU TWO LOVEBIRDS!!!)
Koenma's P.O.V.
You're sitting at your big desk, standing up in your chair and watching the gang carry Mitsuki and Arashi to the portal through a big pull-down T.V. (Damn, wish I had one of those...yeah, that's right! Dont act like you never wanted one too!). Your eyes wandered from Ashi, who was struggling angrily in Kurama's arms, to Mitsuki, who seemed to be speaking casually with Hiei over his shoulder, "Hm..."
"Koenma, sir?"
He turned slightly to George (You know, that cool ogre guy that works for Koenma as his secretary!? If...thats his name...yes, his name seems to escape me. Well, if it wasn't then, it will be now! Because I really don't feel like checking my DVDs for his name, but Im pretty darn sure its George!!!), "Do...do you see that?!"
"See what?"
Jumping up on your desk, you pointed point bluntly at the screen, "THAT!!! Dont you see it?! That, THAT!"
George squinted at the screen, but shook his head in confusion, "Sorry, Koenma, sir, but I just dont see it-"
You flailed your arms in frustration, "OH, YOU'RE HOPELESS!"
George gulped, "...Sir...?"
You sighed and sat back on your desk Indian style, pulling at the pacifier in your mouth, "There's something about that Mitsuki..."
"What's that, sir?"
"I dont know!!! Am I supposed to know everything?! Now go bring me something to eat... It's snack time!"
George sweat dropped, "But, sir..."
You glared sternly in his direction, "You heard me! I'm the boss around here, and I want food!"
Slightly flustered, George nodded, "Uh...of course, sir!" and he rushed out the door, leaving you to sit smugly on your desk, staring at the screen.
Your eyes narrowed as you stared at Mitsuki and Hiei a few yards behind the others, "Hm...interesting...very interesting..." Noticing how Mitsuki seemed to open Hiei up a bit, noticing the slight blush on Hieis cheeks, Koenma burst out laughing, "Talk about taming the beast within! However, maybe with Mitsuki on the team, Hiei will be a lot more tolerable with someone to talk to. One...can only hope...!"
Back to Your P.O.V.
The gang seemed to have reached their destination in an old abandoned warehouse basement. Yusuke pulled a small compact from his back pocket and spoke mockingly into its speaker, "Alright, baby breath, we did our part! Now open up the portal already!"
You could hear loud screaming from the receiver of the communicator and blinked, tuning into Ashis brain waves, ~Hey..heh...did we miss something or what?~
Ashi rolled her eyes, ~You're asking me?!~
You sighed, ~Well...yeah...~
The next thing you knew a deep blue portal appeared a few feet away from you, swirling around on the nearest wall. Yusuke and Kuwabara passed through it without hesitation, and you and Ashi just sort of gaped at it in disbelief. When Kurama and Hiei started to head for the portal as well, Ashi spoke up, "Hey! I dont remember signing up for this!" But she was cut off from your hearing when Kurama passed through the portal.
Hiei was about to pass through when you started struggling over Hieis shoulder, "C'mon, sunshine, cut a girl a break!"
"Hn...I'll cut more than that if you-"
You gulped, laughing nervously, "Mkay, mkay...enough said...! Heh...I'll keep my body parts in tact, if you dont mind."
He smirked, "Quite a head you've got on those shoulders..."
"Meh meh meh meh meh meh meh..." He tightened his grip to shut you up and you coughed, "Owie...! Hey, cmon! All in good fun, right? Right...?"
"Hn..."
He proceeded through the portal and came out on a street crossing in front of a large building. The transportation seemed to have messed with your noggin a bit and gave you a killer headache. You shook your head, trying to regain full vision as the headache slowly faded, "Whoa...what a rush...!" When you finally found yourself capable of the wonderful sense of sight, you took in your surroundings from your current position. Surprisingly enough, it looked a lot like your home in Japan. Only here, instead of people walking up and down the busy streets...people with horns, tails, and animal ears were all over the place. You gaped at the sight in surprise, "W-Where are we...?!"
Hiei smirked beneath you, "Welcome to Spirit World..."
You blinked, "..........Am I being kidnapped...?!"
He snickered, "So this is how the brain of a poor public school casualty works...and to think I thought I'd seen it all when that detective came into the picture." He shook his head, "I suppose I was wrong..."
After a few moments of silence for you to take in everything he'd said, you suddenly burst out laughing, leaving a totally confused Hiei, "Whoa! Talk about advanced mocks! That was pretty good, you know! You must've been doing this for a long time, huh? Huh?! Wow...wish I were that good... You got any tips?! You know...help the process along a bit?!"
His mouth dropped slightly in surprise at my odd reaction, but suddenly smirked to himself, "Hn...I cant win for loosing with you, can I, onna?" He snickered, "You're quite the challenge...something to which Ive never given in to..."
You giggled, "Hey! You're welcome to try!"
He sighed and started up through the doors of the building and passed a sign in desk in the center of the main room, "Come on..."
You're eyes narrowed as he nodded to the cat-like girl behind the desk and headed up the stairs with the others, "Does it look like I have a choice?"
"Would you leave even if you did?"
A long silence fell between the two of you...
He smirked, "As I thought..."
"Damn my strong sense of curiosity..."
