Security warnings are enabled by default across the entire site. Security warnings educate users about ways that other users might attempt to scam them and steal their items and gold. Users are also warned about safe online habits like not sharing personal information.
The security warnings are deisigned to help keep users safe and happy.
Can I see a full list of the security warnings?
Of course! Here are the security messages:
Never give your password or other personal information to another member. Gaia staff will never ask for your password for any reason. If any member asks for your password in a private message, even if they claim to be a moderator, please click REPORT THIS PM to notify Gaia staff.

Buying, selling or trading Gaia gold, Gaia items or your Gaia account with real money is not allowed. Any members found buying, selling or trading Gaia gold or items for real money or off-site items will have their Gaia accounts banned.

Adult content (above a "PG-13" level) is not allowed on Gaia. If another member sends you inappropriate or explicit images or text, please use the button to notify Gaia staff.

Botting is not allowed. "Botting" is any process that lets you automatically post, play games or otherwise earn Gaia Gold without regular human interaction. This includes (but is not limited to) the use of scripts, macros, or automatic page refreshers. Any accounts found botting, or receiving gold or items from botters, will be banned.

Never complete a trade with another member if you cannot see the item you agreed to trade for. If a member offers to trade a wrapped item or claims that the bank is not working correctly, do not trade with them. Please use the REPORT THIS PM to notify staff.

Cybering (cybersex) is not allowed anywhere on Gaia. If another member requests or offers to cyber with you, please use the REPORT THIS PM to notify staff.

How do I turn off the Security Warnings?
Once you are sure that you understand the security warnings, you can safely turn them off. To disable the security warnings, visit the Account Preferences under My Gaia. Change 'Disable Security Warnings' to 'Yes' and click Submit. You can enable security warnings at any time by turning this back to 'No'.
