“Hey Kira!” Seiji called to his teammate.
“Oh hi Seiji!” She called back as he ran up to her.
He stopped in front of her, out of breath. He put his hands on his knees.
“Hey where’s Yutaro?” He asked looking up at her.
She shrugged.
“I’m right here.” He said jumping down off the roof across the street. Kira giggled.
“Huh, show off!” Seiji said.
“You jealous Seiji?”
“Me? Jealous of you? NOPE!!” He said sticking out his tongue. Both boys laughed. It may not seem like it but the both of them were really good friends, ever since their years at the academy.
“Ah man, are you two at it again?”
“Ah, don’t mind them Shikamaru sensei.” Kira laughed.
“Yeah, yeah. Ok let’s get going.”
Yeah Shikamaru had become a jonin squad leader. Also he happened to have Seiji, Sakura and Neji’s son on the team. He is still lazy, really lazy but a good teacher, even if he falls asleep during missions sometimes.
“Shikamaru sensei where are we going?” Seiji asked.
“Well we have to go to the land of waves to be body guards.” *Man this is so boring*
“Who are we protecting?” Kira asked.
“Ah man, why do you have so many questions? You’ll know everything you need to soon enough.”
“Isn’t it important to know as much as possible about the mission?” asked Yutaro.
“This time it isn’t that important to tell you all right away.” Shikamaru answered.
They walked fast but kept a good pace. They made good time getting to the land of waves. They met their clients. Some important big-shots from the cloud country. They had business in the land of waves making some kind of peace treaty. It seemed like they didn’t trust the land of waves, I mean why hire body guards for the signing of a peace treaty?
“Hey I don’t like the looks of these guys.” Kira whispered to Seiji.
“Me neither, I don’t think we should trust them. I think something is up.” He whispered back.
“You think they’re going to try something?” Yutaro asked.
“Who knows?” Seiji said.
“Hey, come on, let’s go!!”
“COMING” they yelled as they ran to their sensei.
They followed after the clients. The big-shots were talking about all sorts of things, but one thing in particular stood in Seiji’s mind, they kept talking about a “plan” it just was strange. That night was when the peace treaty was supposed to be signed. They got to the meeting just in time. It was a very important time because wars were starting up again between the countries. Just as the signing started the lights went out and enemy ninja entered the room and came at the leaders of the two countries. Yutaro and Seiji jumped in front of the leaders, while Shikamaru sensei and Kira tried to stop the ninja. Shikamaru knocked one right out. Kira stopped one, but the other got past.
“Yutaro?”
“Yeah I know, go for it!”
“Alright!”
Seiji stepped out in front of Yutaro. He used a hand seal.
“Katon Gokakyu no jutsu” (fireball jutsu)
The ninja got several burns. Yutaro was impressed at Seiji’s knew technique. The ninja fell to the ground. Kira had stopped to look and the other ninja ran out the door.
“Oh!” She went after him, Seiji and Yutaro followed her. There was a trap a few feet away that Kira ran right into. Yutaro stopped to see if she was ok. Seiji went ahead. He caught up to him but was to far back to get him.
*shuffle*
Someone jumped down from the trees in a flash and kicked ninja so hard he was knocked out. She landed on one knee.
“Huh?” Seiji stopped a few feet away.
It was a woman. Her long black hair fell over her shoulders. She wore a short black kimono with pink cherry blossoms on it that stopped at her thighs. She stood up and brushed her hair back over her shoulders. Then she saw Seiji.
“Hey you there!” she called.
“Huh, who are you? What do you want?” He asked.
She looked him over.
“Huh, you’re from the leaf village?”
“HEY SEIJI, ARE YOU OK?” Kira and Yutaro called as they ran. Their sensei followed after them.
“Yeah I’m fine….. But” he called back.
“Uh-oh…” she sighed to herself.
When Shikamaru and the others got to them Shikamaru looked shocked.
“I… it’s you!” He said in shock.
“Uh you! What are you doing here?” She asked him.
“Who is she sensei?” Kira asked.
“Rei Ishida.”
“Ishida…” Kira looked at her sensei.
“Shikamaru it’s been a while, hasn’t it?’
“Yeah.”
“Hey, hey what’s going on? Who this lady?” Seiji asked confused.
“This is Rei; she is a friend of your mother Seiji.”
“What she’s a friend of my mom?”
“Yes.” He sighed.
“Rei you may not know this but this boy is Sakura’s son.”
“Really? Then she and Neji?”
“Yeah they did, but that’s not important. What are you doing here and is HE with you?”
“We’re all trying to avoid a war aren’t we? And he’ll be here soon.”
“Rei we’re going to take this one with us.” Shikamaru said picking up the ninja.
“Fine.”
Shikamaru walked past his students.
“We’re going, come on!”
“Right.” They all said.
They started walking down the path. Then someone else appeared behind Rei. Shikamaru stopped.
“Rei how’d it go?” He asked her quietly.
“It went as planed, except for them.”
“I see.” He said stepping around her.

“What is it Shikamaru-sensei?” Yutaro asked.
“Is something wrong?” Seiji asked.
*Sakura please forgive me if Seiji finds anything out, but…*
He set the ninja down and turned around.
“A friend of my sister, Shikamaru Nara right?”
“Yeah that’s me. How’d you know these guys would be here?”
“You don’t need to know.”
“Damn you!” Shikamaru clenched his fist.
“Stop it Shikamaru!” Rei yelled.
The man put his hand in front of Rei to stop her. She stepped back. Shikamaru didn’t want a fight, but this guy was pissing him off. The man’s eyes went red.
“Isn’t that…” Yutaro said.
“How can he use Sharingan? Only me, Ai and mom can use it!”
“Mom?” * Now that I think about it that boy… looks like Sasuke*
“Itachi you stay away from him!”
“That proves it. That boy is Sakura’s son isn’t he?”
“How do you know my mom?”
“Itachi don’t you tell him anything! You hear me!?”
“I’m her brother; she didn’t tell you did she?” He said ignoring Shikamaru’s threats.
“Shut up!” Shikamaru yelled.
“In fact I’m not her only brother she has a twin too.”
“Itachi!” Rei said. “Come on lets go!”
“Alright. Another time then.” He disappeared.
“I’m sorry, Say hi for me.” Rei disappeared too.
“Shikamaru sensei was what he said true?”
“Seiji, you and I will have a talk with your mom when we get back. Until then don’t think about it.”
“But”
Kira walked over to him.
“It’ll be alright Seiji.” She whispered to him.
“Seiji just don’t worry about it right now.”
“I’ll try not to.”
*Ah man, Sakura is going to kill me*

They got everything settled then left for Konoha. They made it back by night fall. Shikamaru took Seiji home. Sakura answered the door.
“We need to talk Sakura.”
“Is everything ok?”
“Well that depends.”
“What do mean?”
“Seiji you wait out here.” Shikamaru told him.
“Come in Shikamaru.”

He went inside. Seiji sat on the steps thinking about what he had heard. Sakura went in to the dinning room and Shikamaru followed her.

“Ok now tell me, what is it.”
“Well on our mission we ran into Itachi and Rei.”
“Itachi..... What happened Shikamaru!”
“Well… He told Seiji about him and Sasuke.”
“And you just let him do it?”
“Sakura calm down!”
“How can I calm down?!?” She said slamming her fist in to the wall making a big dent.
*Ah man, now I’ve done it she might really kill me!*
“I’m sorry but I had to find out something.”
“You do realize that he’ll come around now?”
“I thought you two were on good terms!”
“That’s because he didn’t know about them!”
“Sakura what’s wrong?” Neji said walking past Shikamaru.
“I have to tell them the truth.”
She walked past them and out to see Seiji.
“What happened Shikamaru?”
“Ah man, it’s along story and I don’t like to repeat myself.”
“You lazy Bum.” Neji sighed
“That could have been my head…” He said as a chunk fell off the wall.

Sakura sat by her son.
“Mom?”
“Seiji, it’s time I told you about the Uchiha clan.”
“But I know all about the clan already.”
“Not the truth, you don’t really know anything.”
“Mom?”
“I just didn’t want you to know. But now it can’t be helped. Seiji, most of the things you know about the strength of our clan is true. We were the best in Konoha. But first you should know about Itachi and Sasuke. Itachi is my elder brother and Sasuke is my Twin.”
“Why didn’t you tell us this before?”
“Seiji the history of my clan is great and terrible; you must understand that the truth is hard to bear. I love both my brothers to this day but, I can never forgive Itachi completely for what he did.”
“What happened?”
“Seiji that night he killed everyone except for Sasuke and myself. I let it go and tried to go on with life, but Sasuke, he held a grudge against our brother. That is why he betrayed the village. I miss him so much, and Seiji, you look so much like him.”
“Mom is that why you always look at me so longingly?”
“Yes, also it’s because at the same time you’re like him in so many ways, yet you’re different from him in just as many ways. No matter what I love you Seiji, even though you look like my brother I…. I could never not love you!”
“Mom, so we’re not the only ones left who can use sharingan?”
“That’s right. But you mustn’t talk to anyone with it other than me and Ai, and if you ever see anyone who can use it tell me.”
“Uh-huh.”
“Good.”
She put her arms around her son and hugged him tightly.*Sasuke I want you to come home and Hinata wants you back even more than I do! But until then I will keep hoping!*
“Seiji if you ever need to ask me anything about the Uchiha clan just ask.” She said softly letting go.
“I will.” She got up and went in side.
*So that was Itachi then I wonder if he’s the reason mama is sad a lot?*
When Sakura got inside Shikamaru and Neji were at the table talking. She pulled out a chair and sat down.
“Is Seiji ok?” Neji asked his wife.
“Yes I think so, it’s not Seiji I’m worried about, it’s Ai.” She said softly.
“I should go or Ino will kill me for being late again.” Shikamaru sighed.
Neji walked him out. Then he reappeared in the room and sat next to Sakura.
“Ai should be home soon, what will you do?”
“I think I should tell her to night.”
“That’s probably best.”
“I… wish that he’d …”
“I know Sakura but right now all our leads have been just more dead ends. No one knows where Orochimaru has gone.”
“Yes I know and I just shouldn’t think about him.”
“No, you should think about him if you don’t why should he ever come back and what are we all looking for?”
“Uh…” Sakura hadn’t cried in front of Neji for years, but now the tears came to her eyes. He put his arms around her and whispered.
“He’ll come back for you…. Someday, he’s no fool.”
She nodded her head and brushed away her tears. He let go of her and walked out of the room to check on Seiji.
“Huh…”
“Seiji you should come in soon.”
“Yes, I will… I just. Dad you knew the whole time didn’t you?”
“Yes, I did.”
“Then why didn’t you tell me and Ai?”
“At the time you didn’t have to know. Your mother is a very strong person, but the two things she couldn’t keep from happening haunt her. You know how Ai has nightmares all the time?”
“Uh-huh.”
“Well your mother had dreams like that a long time ago.”
“She did?”
“Yes, they aren’t just dreams it’s the Sharingan they possess that causes them. Sometimes they show things that have or will happen. But you mama hasn’t had a dream like that sense Sasuke left.”
“Mom said that I look like Sasuke, is that true dad?”
“Yeah you look like him a lot.”
Seiji looked down the path to see his twin sister coming towards the house with Hinata.
“Ai’s home, will mama tell her to?”
“Yes, but don’t say anything about it until mom or I say you can.”
Neji got up from where he sat and walked down to Hinata as his daughter ran past.
“Hi papa!” she said running by.
She ran up to her brother. They were good friends and loved to be together rather than apart.
“Hi Seiji!”
“Hey where have you been?”
“Training where else?”
She noticed quickly that he was paying more attention to their father and Miss Hinata.
“Hey are you even listening to my answer?”
“I’m sorry, guess I’m just tired.” He laughed
Hinata started to cry but before Seiji could ask Neji walked her away. Ai hadn’t noticed.
“Your mission couldn’t have been that hard.”
“No it’s not that.”
“Huh?”
“Never mind.”
“You’re weird!” She sighed.
“So what if I am?”
“Nothing!” she sighed again.
They walked inside. Seiji went upstairs. Sakura called Ai to talk to her and she went to her mother. After about an hour she came up to there room. She didn’t say anything. Then she sat down on the bed and looked at her brother.
“Did you know?”
He nodded.
“Why didn’t you say anything to me?” She asked.
“I would have but Mama told me not to.”
“It’s strange isn’t?”
“What?”
“That they never told us.”
“You would understand why they didn’t if you had seen him.”
“Was he scary looking?”
“No not like that it was just freaky being around him.”
“Oh.”
“We should get some sleep Papa’s going to train us tomorrow.”
She nodded and pulled the blanket over herself.
“Night Seiji.”
“Night Ai.”
