It was Valentines day, and you gave me a heart shaped lollipop.
We both fooled around with our guitars, We both loved each other..you know? I love you you love me? We promised that we would never break up no matter what. Until that day..Valentines day where the promise shattered like glass. You said that you had to go to British Columbia, you said that it wouldnt work out. I tried to give you with solutions, and even asked you to not say that its over. You put your hands on mine
You gave me a smile..a sad one.
You said that you're leaving tomorrow after school.
I got up and took my guitar on my way out.
The next day at school..you ame up to me, before you could even move your lips, I gave you a hug. I felt your your hands on my waist. I told you that, "We should skip all our periods and spend one more time together before you leave." You nodded. We spent 5 hours in your back yard snuggled against each other and talking about what we used to do what not. Your parents didn't mind at all, I mean you are leaving Ontario anyways...I felt my face burn up as I felt your tears drop onto my uniform. You wiped your tears off your white and delicate skin. I planted my lips on yours, our nose brushed against each other. Your older sister, Karen, came and told you its time to go.
I pulled out a necklace from my uniforms chest pocket, It made you cry more. I put it over your head and watched as it made its way around your neck. You gave me another kiss, and walked to the car. You wiped your face and waved back at me as the car started to move, and you sat at the back with your sister. I start to follow you in your car, your lips move as it said "I love you". I said the same thing back to you, Your car disappeared as it made a left turn. I finally cried my tears made its way down to my chin. I check my pockets for a hankerchief, but instead of a hanky, I found a heart shaped lollipop from my left pocket. You've probably left it in my pocket, when your hands where on my waist. I smiled, the heart had a crack in the center. I turn to walk home with your heart in my hand.
It was Valentines day and you gave me a heart shaped lollipop.
