First off, I understand why they can't have it at the high school. Construction, yo.
But why not AGS of FIS? Ya know, something I could get to with out a car, yet still in a bloody reasonable amount of time.
Nah, it's way the 'ell out in BFE. Mott College, the part rented out by Souther Lakes.
The sign up period? It would have been, by consoler recommendation only mind you, last week. The Th through the 22nd. I called the school on Thursday, seeing as I had heard about it starting the 25th through the grape vine.
"Oh, it's okay. You'll get all the information on what classes we'll accept with your report card. It should come in the mail tomorrow."
Brilliant! Send me the ******** thing on the last day to sign up. Thank the gawds I'm aggressive enough to push through the regulations and get enrolled. Took me waking up way to early for Summer, but I got in.
Was ********' expensive though. But I kinda figured that. So much for buying garb this summer.
Anyway, first day of actual class wasn't to bad. Not gonna be hardly any home work. And the class stuff is so easy, I could do it blindfolded. And it's only four weeks long. I'll be gettin' out the end of July.
To a lighter note, I managed to finish the poem I started last Friday.
Dear Fool,
Victor! Claim your prize:
Take your bloody rise to fame.
Forge your ideals in their eyes;
Let them think you're not to blame.
Valiant! Make your stand:
Weak willed, your hand lay played,
Your hour's final grain of sand,
And your debt to be repaid.
Vagrant! You're cast aside.
Integrity left devoid,
Actions left unverified,
Voices left you paranoid.
Vengeful! They oppose you;
Vengeance! They destroyed you.

Turned out better than I thought it would. Some obvious inspirations: Open Mic Drama, V's monologue from V for Vendetta, my previous obsession with sonnets, and a three card Tarot spread for the pattern. I also got to try some other forms of parallels I've been meaning to attempt. Though I would have sacrificed 'left', could I have thought of a better way to incorporate the 'your' repetition in those three lines. Regardless, it broke the paranoia, and ended up being symbolic of the rise and shift the first two stanzas represent. The crash and more jagged repetition of it's own, and the conclusion's being even more unrefined. All in all, one of my better pieces, but my no means my best. I'm still trying to top Inquisition's Fire.
