Yes yes, the wonderful 4-20. National Pot Day, Hitler's Birthday, the Columbine Anniversary.
This doesn't affect many people but I've noticed something.
There hasn't been one mention of the Columbine Anniversary on this day. None. Not at school, on the news, in the paper. I will admit that the incident at Columbine Highschool does interest me. Then psychological point of it is just as amazing as the physical. Two boys gunning down 13 people, injuring 28. It's amazing how people can think up these schemes. Perhaps they were mad? Or was it fun?
Honestly I was hoping they'd have a special or something about it.
This leads me to my point. Is this Nation trying to erase the bad experiences in the past? Trying to sheild the generations rising. It is funny to me that I learn the boring things in school, but they never teach us about the violent facts. The details they leave out are the interesting ones.
The news, media, avoids these instances too. It is amazing how censored out television is along with newspapers and most everything else. After JFK was shot the government collected all cameras and film from everyone standing around. Why couldn't they have proof, knowledge, of what was going on?
I don't know what it is with people and acceptance but it's really getting ******** annoying...

there was a couple of articles in the newspaper that i've read about the incident...but that is true, there was hardly any mention of it....
I dont think they did it as fun....mayhaps in anger, but if you research it deeper, what drove them to that brink was people....other teens there age, always bothering them, picking on them...making there lives miserable, pushed them past the point until they couldnt take it any more and they just broke...so they plotted and planned, so well to the point they'd show everyone, or they'd give them a taste of what they went through day in and day out....only much much worse....
You ask why they didnt have proof of JFK...how bout when Martin Luther King was assissinated, or Harry T Moore, and the list can go on and on....
and no they didnt have a special about Columbine either, i was sure they were gonna do a documentary....and yes, the media's always been like that...as soon as a big events is over,
They leave it in the past and its done for, ten, twenty years down the road they will bring it back up, and no i dont think its to shield us...I think it exactly what you said first, they dont like bad experiences...no one really does...so they try to shield it, make it seem like nothing was really bad about it...And yes, the details that they leave out are always the ones that make you go back and do eek
And yes everything is censored, whether it is because they dont like admiting the "real" truth of the matter, or maybe they dont think the public would appreciate what really is going on...but they do edit and censor and do other crap majorly...
If you do research on lynchings before and after slavery and also during the civil rights, and the treatments during the walks and marches,...or even an indepth study of slavery, it'll blow your mind of all the violent, despicable, gory acts, the media, the history books and other "reliable" sources would never tell you....the distugsting vile, things they use to do...its amazing what they'll blot out...and fix up so you'd never know...and walk around unconcerned with the state and affairs of man....
Yes it is annoying...but thats life...i wish i could do something about it though.... whee
