Well if you want to fight him for real, you'll need Ultima Weapon, the best accessories and be above level 70 or so.

However you can totally cheese on him by doing this:
- Equip anything that increases Magic Attack, as high as you can.
- Do ANYTHING that will raise your magic attack.
- Pack a bunch of Elixirs.
- Have Curaga on Shortcut
- Have Reflega on shortcut
- Block his first hit with the triangle command
- Spam the Reflega shortcut as he hits you.
- He takes incredible damage from reflected attacks
- When you run out of MP, Elixir yourself and do it all again.

He'll be dead in like 2 minutes.
