The night was faint, darkness swept the streets of the silent city. There a girl in a white dress waited. Her eyes were filled with fear, and they glistened with tears. Her hair hung to about the length of her chest, let loose so that it partially covered her face. The girl was slim, tall, had beautiful brown eyes that stood out with the lightness of her hair, she was so innocent, but so broken all at once. The streets were quiet as she awaited for her guest, she sat on the corner looking up and down both ways, her heart told her told leave, but her body wouldn’t move to scared of what the outcome would be if she did. Moments later a figure came out of the shadows; he was tall, skinny and had a look of anger across his face. His appearance made the girl jump up quickly and back away. Her skin trembled with the very sound of his footsteps; chills ran throughout her body with the feel of his breath on her neck, as he got close. He grabbed her arm and immediately threw her to the ground. “You lied to me! You said they didn’t figure out the bruises were from me!” shouted the man. The young girl fell to the ground her arm began to bleed from being scraped on the floor, “Daddy no I didn’t tell I promise I didn’t. They asked over and over again, but I said no. Daddy I said no!” The man kicked her against the brick wall, “Enough! I don’t believe one lie that is coming out of your mouth.” The girl tried to plead to her father that she didn’t tell anyone that he had beat her, but he wouldn’t listen. He just continued to hit her and kick her and beat her, until she was on the verge of unconsciousness. The man gave one final glance, “Your pathetic, not one word, if the police question me again, you will be in a lot of trouble.” The girl watched her dad as he walked away; tears fell down her face, along with blood drops from the scrapes. She struggled to get up, but finally managed to. As he faded into the distance the young girl whispered…”goodbye Daddy…”
