Betrayal
[[OoC: I was hoping to make some bonding scenes with Mura, Tetsuia, and Fuji, but I really really can't get this scene out of my head and IT MUST BE WRITTEN DOWN NAO! X_X]]
Snow sheeted the road and blanketed the roofs. Snow white contrasted with night black. The little snowmen which children made stood defiantly against a man in a purple longcoat and pants, nudging his way over through the half-foot of snow.
Tetsuia, wiping the sleeves of his longcoat from the cold white gunk, looked upwards at the hands of the tallest building in Astra, the clock tower which had pointed 4 on the big hand and 3 on the short one. The tower like all the buildings of the town had been decorated by lights of red and green with small circles of holly decorating the doorways.
However, these things were only a fleeting concern. From the shadows of the stairs leading into an alleyway, a figure in purple popped out, sporting similar tastes in clothes to Tetsuia. However, this figure was a girl with black hair and blue eyes with their effects blunted by black contacts.
Both stared at each other and gave a quick smile.
"Are you ready to go, Fuji?"
"I've been ready twenty minutes ago, b*****d. I told you three o'clock."
Hands moved defensively as the girl made threatening movements to the guy.
"I overslept. Heh heh."
"Idiot."
"Moron."
"b***h."
"Whore."
Fuji snickered before saying, "Can't argue with that." and took a small bow. The thin dagger on her holster made only a slight thunk on the side of a red buggy, left unattended for Christmas Eve. Tetsuia only snickered before pulling Fuji into a small embrace.
"So where will we be going, missus?" A false Westerner accent highlighted every syllable of his words.
"Anywhere, but here..."
"I'll take you there. We can never live in a place like this...", said Tetsuia with resolute eyes.
"Yup. It's ti..."
The sound of a single fired shot ringed through the air, cutting Fuji off. With horror etching his face, Tetsuia felt something warm tickling the tips of his fingers while the taste of iron ringed into the air. He already knew in his mind that she was already dead...shot through the heart in a clean manner.
His own heart transformed from warmth into stone cold in a single moment, slowly lying the girl to her eternal rest in the snow. Eyes moved to where he heard the shot and that...was what shocked him.
Burning tearing black eyes met stone cold ones from across the road. The owner of those eyes wore a black longcoat, a silver revolver pointed in his direction. Realization dawned at the identity of this man. Small frame, impassive aura, and a simple-thin shortsword tied on the waist.
"MURA!"
Mura only gave him one last glance with impassive eyes before leaping off walls and running off to the roof.
Automatically, Tetsuia had started to give chase until he was stopped by four people from behind a wall whom surrounded his form. A final glance went to the girl in the snow, staining it a rosy red. With the pale red still in her face, it almost appeared she was sleeping, but she..was not.
Now..all he wanted was revenge. And anyone in his way was going to die. Tetsuia brought his sword out as his attackers approached, starting his new battle.
