An old lady past her childhood years sat infront of a window in her own home watching all the children play. Her hair was dry and all the color in her hair was gone. She knew that her days on this earth was almost over and that she should except that, but she was scared to admit she wasn't. She looked at her hands, they were old and shaking as a tears fell to them. As her seventeenth tear fell, a book was placed in her hands. Her granddaughter appeared next to her. Brushing away her tears, she said she found the book in a room she never noticed before and said the pages were completely blank. The cover of the book read, "When Things are Forgotten." Her grandchild was 14 but still neglected the important things in her life. "Cathy, will you go fetch me some water? I fear I can not walk that far without tiring myself..." The old lady asked. "Yes, grandmother." Replied Cathy skipping off to the kitchen. As she left the room and closed the door the old lady looked at the book and noticed the designs on the side. It was different to her and was seemingly odd. As if someone had kissed it and it had come alive. To her it looked as old as she was as she read the title which was written out in gold ink. She opened it and as her granddaughter said, it was completely blank. As she slid her fingers across the page, a few words appeared at the center of the page. "Remember the forgotten..." She read in a whisper. Then, the words started glowing and a bright white light came out of the book as her eyes glowed. Something happened that she never thought to see again.
