Man. I had my interview today for going on to AP French 5 next year, and my teacher put me in a situation where I was a babysitter and she was hiring me. I had to ask her 4 questions, but I kinda wasn't ready. The first thing that popped into my mind was to ask her how much she was willing to pay me per hour. At this, she gave me this horrified look like money was all I cared about -__- Then I felt bad. She kept talking, so I didn't pay attention to what she said because I was trying to think of other questions to ask her.

Then I asked her how old her child was, and she was all "WHAT?! I have TWO children!" and then gave me this look like I wasn't paying attention, which I wasn't =P So then I asked her what time they usually slept, and she was talking again, so I did that Agree-and-smile-like-you're-getting-it thing. Well, she said "Well the little one sleeps all the time, because you know, I give it pills" and I said "Oui" until I realized what she said but it was too late and she laughed at me -__- I tried to laugh it off, but I have a feeling it didn't work very well to my advantage.

Well, my 10 minutes of hell were over, thank god. She said I have some mistakes and gave a disappointed look, but then said that she knew I wanted to get into this class.

What amazed me was that I actually understood what she said. I just wish I paid more attention to what she said rather than trying to think of another question while she was responding to mine.
