-Introduction
Magic is not just a spell that you can utter and instantly gain something; practice is needed and you must be able to harness the power to use it. It has limitations that you must know or you may risk accidents or death. All of the uses and rules of magic are not known; there are some areas of magic that are yet to be explored. This book covers all the fine points, rules, and information on the supernatural.
Though this is just an introduction, I will list some of the most important rules and information vaguely. The most important rule is that overuse of magic, unless you were born naturally with it, uses up energy. Do not use more magic than you are capable of, or you will cease to exist.
If you gather energy rather than create an object, it will use less energy. Say, if you were to gather air from around you to make a tornado rather than creating air, it would be easier. Also, magic involving only the raw four elements(water, fire, earth, air) will not drain as much as the other elements.
Usage of dark, or evil, magic is destructive and slowly consumes the soul and lowers willpower. Subjects of dark magic are usually consumed by evil.
Mythical creatures also have slight usage of magic. Dragons call upon their natural magic to pour flames from between their jaws. Gryphons have golden feathers with some magical properties, and unicorns have pure, healing magic in their horns. Demons also have a vague grip on the dark arts.
Magic, or the supernatural, is dangerous indeed. It is also mysterious and intriguing. Rules are an important part of magic; limitations are needed to protect the life, soul, and mind of the user. Much is needed to know to control the powerful art that is magic.
