Fanfiction - Harry Potter 5 - My Character, part 1
This is PURE FANFICTION!!!! REMEMBER THAT!!

Alex was standing in a clearing in a forest, wand out and holding the hand of Jade, his girlfriend, who also had her wand out.

"I don't like this," he said as he looked around them, an eerie fog slowly filling the forest.

"Who does?" Jade asked. "What's going on?"

"Don't know. One moment we were about to grab the Staff of Merlin, and then we end up here...of course! It's a Portkey."

"A Portkey? Who would make the staff into one?"

"I dunno. But we can't get back. Not until we find the staff again."

A breeze blew against them, pushing away Alex's hair and revealing a scar shaped like a 1 1/2 inch slash mark on his forehead.

"You remember those spells I made up and taught to you, Jade?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Get ready to use them, just in case we get attacked."

"Shh! Listen."

Footsteps could be heard around them. Without saying a word, Alex's wand emits a white magical essence that take on the form of a katana. Jade's wand does the same; but instead of creating a white sword, it creates a bo-staff made of golden magical essence.

"Who's there?" asked Alex.

There's no response at first. But then, they could hear a high-pitched laughter. Slowly emerging from the fog, a figure in black robes, wearing a silver mask that covered the top half of their face, with a black hood over their head, stepped towards them, laughing in that high-pitched laugh from earlier.

"And you are?" asked Alex.

"No one," she said mockingly. "But you can call me...Bellatrix Lestrange."

"First of all," started Jade,"what kind of name is that? Second of all, why are you here?"

"For the first one, I'm from Europe."

"And the second?"

"To...recruit members."

"Members?" asked Alex. "For what?"

"The Dark Lord's Army, of course. Of course, children like you probably wouldn't understand."

"Dark Lord," said Jade as she and Alex looked at each other for a moment. "When you say Dark Lord, does his actual name start with a V?"

"Yes...why do you ask?"

"Death Eater," said Alex as he and Jade took up battle stances. "Sorry, but not interested. We're against Voldemort's cause."

"You dare say his name?!" Lestrange asked menacingly.

"Whoa," said Alex, surprised in the sudden change of mood of the woman. "Insane, a little? Well, either case, we're not interested."

"Fine," she said, mockingly. "I'll just have to teach you little children about what happens when you deny the offer to join us."

"A fight, I presume?" asked Alex. "We've had our share of combat. And unlike the witches and wizards in Europe, most American witches and wizards specialize in both magic and martial arts."

"Aw, the little baby American thinks he can beat me up," said Lestrange in a mock baby voice. "Oh, I'm scared."

"Actually, you should be," he said, now ticked off at Lestrange. "After all, it's two against one."

"Oh, I disagree," said a man's voice from the fog.

About five others in black hooded robes and silver half-masks came out of the fog.

"Okay," said Alex. "Now we're screwed."

"Quite," said the man. "Bellatrix, we might as well kill both of them.

"Wait, Malfoy," said another one of them, a woman. "Let's toy with them, first."

"Yes, Malfoy," said Lestrange. "I want to see what these children can do."

"Oh, very well. Bellatrix, you and I can fight the two of them. Everyone else, stay out of this. I'll take the girl. Bellatrix, you can fight the boy."

"Fine by us," said Jade, putting her back with Alex's back. "I'm sick and tired of you guys calling us babies and kids."

"Big talk for such young ones," said Malfoy.

"Okay, now I'm just about ticked off," said Alex. "Bring it on, Death Eaters!"

"You asked for it."

Both Death Eaters launched a spell that consisted of red energy at Alex and Jade, only to see the two 14-year-old teenagers deflect them with their magical weapons.

"Oho," said Malfoy. "It seems that they're not as weak as we thought.

"Indeed," said Lestrange, no longer talking in her mock baby voice. "That makes it fun."

"Oh, the fun hasn't even begun," said Alex, a smile on his face. "But we're getting close to it."

"Ready, Alex?" asked Jade as she raised her wand/staff.

"Ready."

The two of them launched spells at their opponent, who dodged and deflected them. They separated to keep up with their Death Eater.

"Not bad for a fourth-year wizard," said Lestrange as she launched a spell at Alex.

"I specialize in Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms," he said as he dodged the spell. "To me, this is what I've been waiting for."

"Well, I hope you enjoy this fight," she said. "It will be your last."

"Reducto!" shouted Alex as he slashed his sword, letting loose a red energy blast that hit Lestrange in the chest, pushing her back and making her fall over.

"Too weak, boy! Try this! Crucio!"

Another energy-like spell was sent at Alex, only to be deflected.

"That all you got?" he shouted. "I just have to slice you with this sword and it's over!"

He charged at her and slashed at her, only to see that she changed into a puff of smoke that flew away from him, reappearing some feet away from him.

"Nice spell," she said. "Too bad it won't do you much good."

She waved her wand, and Alex's wand/sword flew out of his hand. Next thing he knew, he was feeling an unbearable pain that made him fall to the ground, groaning in pain.

"I win," she said, undoing the spell. "I'll finish you off."

"NOOO!!" shouted Jade as she jumped in the way of a green spell, which hit her square in the chest. She fell, eyes open, utterly dead.

"Jade!!" he cried as he got up and knelt by her side. "Jade...wake up, Jade. Please, wake up. Jade. Jade! JADE!!"

But no matter how many times he shook her, she remained open-eyed and dead.

"JAAAAAAAAADE!!!!!"

"No!" shouted Alex as he woke up from the nightmare in the plane, panting and sweating. "No...just a dream...again."

"Attention, passengers," said the flight attendant in the intercom. "We are now about to land at the airport. Please remain seated until the plane has come to a full stop."

Alex waited for the plane to stop so he could get off. When he got off, he looked for the person who was supposed to be waiting for him, holding a sign that bore his name. Alex looked and looked until he found the sign, only to see that it was being held by a mad with glasses and a black mustache, who measured about 3 feet tall. He wore a black business suit that fitted him well.

"Um...you're the one picking me up?"

"Are you Alex Litero?" he asked in a slightly squeaky voice, high-pitched and yet still masculine.

"Yes, I am."

"Hello," he said, holding out his hand. "I'm Professor Flitwick. I take it that you're the transfer student from America who is to attend Hogwarts?"

"Yes, sir. What do you teach?"

"Charms, Mr. Litero."

"Please, sir. Call me Alex."

"Alright. And you can call me Professor FLitwick, or Professor if you want."

"Sure...um, Professor."

"Right. Well, then, welcome to London."
