All I could think of as i was drifting away was 'Cold... So very cold... This is it, then... its over now...'

"ey..... hey..... c'mon now....... please.... you gotta wake up....."
I tried to open my eyes, but they were so heavy.I just wanted all the pain to leave...


I felt something burn my throat. i went through a horrible fit of coughing and sat up."Jacob, get some more rice and put it in the pot, then get the jasmine out of the cuboard. she may need some more broth." then she noticed i was awake. "How are you feeling, dearie?"
"better. what happened? where am i?"
everything was fuzzy, i couldn't remember anything.
"tsk tsk," she went." Jacob, i think she has a case of amnesia."

Jacob came over to where i was laying." Can't you remember? You took a fall in the river and got all banged up. I guess you shouldn't have pushed your strength."

It was all coming back to me. The wolf, the river...
"Thanks for your kindness. I really must be going now." I stood up and clumsly took a few steps." wait. You are in no condition to be going anywhere."

I pondered what he had said. "you are a mighty strongwilled girl. You almost remind me of Jacob."

"no, i have made up my mind. I must be going."
As i made my way out of their cabin, i heard Jcaob say" no. I'm coming with you."
