Three New Manga Books, and the Stanley Cup in Chilliwack: (July 28th, 2007)

Just yesterday, I woke up at 9:30 AM and got changed to go to the mall. My dad was dropped off at the restaurant to prepare stuff, and my mom sned my brother's friend, Kyle, my brother, Micheal, and I to the mall. When we got there about 10:00 AM, there was about 30 people in the line-up to see the Stanley Cup. We were moved up to the real line-up, which was not far from the tabletop where the Stanley Cup will stand. We waited about a couple hours, since the picture taking starts at 12:00 PM and ended at 3:00 PM. I had to use the washroom but we can't line-jump back to our spots. Besides, we can wait, but the Stanley Cup can't lol. razz We talked to a few people about Hockey and stuff, and it was pretty fun. ^^ When the Stanley Cup was coming around, we all started cheering loudly and there was bagpipes playing, as well as Canadian soldiers walking, kind of like a ceremony. General manager Brian Burke of the Anaheim Ducks, was holding the Stanley Cup. He is also a co-owner of the Chilliwack Bruins, and used to be the General Manager of the Vancouver Canucks. Anyways, when the Stanley Cup was placed on the table, we chered even louder. My brother got this all on his Camera/MP3/Phone, so it was all good. As the line-up moved, I started to get really excited. My brother was taking pictures of all of us, and Kyle got Micheal's picture too, all with Brian Burke, and the Stanley Cup. We were about the last people to use our cameras and phones before they told everyone that tehre are no camera allowed. We yeah, we were very lucky for that. Brian Burke asked me "how are you" and "what's with the Devils sweater", but I just said "good" and I laughed. I was going to tell him that it was my lucky jersey, and Brodeur is my favorite goaltender. Anywho, I didn't have time to chat, and neither did he. It was the time of my life, since seeing the Stanley Cup was an honour. After that, Kyle, Micheal, and I was interviewed by Shaw TV about the experience. It was all good, and then I went to the bookstore to buy a few manga books, Girls Bravo, Death Note, and Samurai Champloo, all the first episodes, since I've never read them before. razz That day was probably the highlight of my summer. ^^ biggrin
