Lynn sat on the floor in her room. She looked around the empty room. It was still hard to believe that she was moving, she had lived in this house her entire life.

Memories and pieces of herself were all over the place. Her door frame where she had marked her height. She stood up and walked over to the door. She ran her hand across the years. Laughing softly she held her hand on Sin’s mark. Last year he had marked his on her door and laughed at her when they compared their heights. He was about 8 inches taller than she was and he never let her forget it. She let her hand fall to her side and walked out of her room. She followed the hall into the living room and turned the corner into the kitchen.

She stepped inside and leaned up against a wall. She smiled as she glanced around the room. Above the stove was a small black burn. One night Sin had tried to teach her to cook but it was safe to say that it hadn’t gone as they planned. That was one of the only times that she had cried in front of him. Her smile grew as she remembered him putting out the fire and how quickly his smile faded when he saw her crying. He had acted so stupid, he had no idea what to do, she ended up laughing everything off with him.

Lynn headed back to her room for one last time. She walked in and sat back down on the floor. She could feel tears filling her eyes. She jumped as her back pocket started to vibrate. She reached inside and pulled out her cell phone. Sin was calling her. Lynn took a deep breath and flipped open her phone.

“Hey Lynn!” Sin sounded really excited about something, it only made her feel worse. She still hadn’t told him what was happening.

“Hey Sin. What’s up?” She tried to keep her voice steady.

“Something awesome happened! You have to come over!”

“Right now? I’m kind of in the middle of something….” She didn’t know if she could face him.

“Come on… Please? Just for a few minutes, I really want to talk to you!”

“Alright, alright. I’ll be there in a few minutes.”

“Awesome Lynn, you rock.” He hung up the phone without even saying goodbye.

“Why don’t you tell him that you love him?” Lynn jumped at the sound of the new voice. She looked towards her door and say her older sister standing there.

“Come on Kim…it doesn’t matter now.” She looked back down at her phone. She started scrolling through her pictures.

“Why doesn’t it matter? You’ve liked him for years, this is your last chance to tell him.”

“I can’t tell him, he deserves to be happy. He doesn’t feel the same way… he’s asking another girl out.” Lynn could feel tears in her eyes again. She knew why he was so happy, he had asked the girl out.

“If you ask me that’s stupid Lynn. He deserves to be happy, but you don’t?” Kim leaned up against the door frame and tapped her fingers on Sin’s mark.

“Kim, he deserves to be happy and I’ll do whatever it takes to make him that way. Forcing my feelings on him won’t make him happy. If it means that I have to be sad… then it’s just a small price to pay.” Lynn pulled her legs in against her and rested her head on her knees. Tears now flowed freely down her face.

“Well…he at least deserves to know that your moving.” Kim stood up and started to walk away, but stopped only a few steps away. “I wish you’d worry a little more about your own feelings. You deserve to be happy at some point in time too.” She walked off and left Lynn sitting alone.

Lynn had given herself a few minutes to pull herself together then headed out to the car. She climbed into the passengers seat and looked over to her sister.

“I’ve got a few errands I have to run before we can leave. I’ll drop you off over there and be back in a while to pick you up. Make sure you tell him.”

The ride over to Sin’s place was silent. Ideas of how she’d tell him rushed through Lynn’s head. She didn’t know what to do.

The car came to a stop outside his small apartment. He was an only child, so his parents weren’t worried about having enough room for just the three of them. She climbed out of the car and Kim gave her a smile as she drove off. Lynn made her way up the short concrete walkway towards the door. She knocked twice and waited just a few seconds before the door was flung open.

“Great you’re here! Come on!” Sin had a huge smile on his face. He reached down and grabbed her wrist. He pulled her down the hall and into his room.

“Ummmm Sin… there’s something I have to tell you.” Her voice was so small that Sin didn't even hear her.

“You’re never going to believe what happened!” He was bouncing around as he walked back over to shut the door.

“Sin…” Lynn tried to speak up but it sounded like her voice only got weaker.

“I asked Mai out, and she said yes! Can you believe it! She said Yes!”

“Th...that’s great.” Lynn was fighting back the tears. She forced a smile and hoped he wouldn’t notice.

“I’m so happy! Thanks for all the advice you gave me!” Sin walked back over to Lynn and scooped her up in his arms. He squeezed her tight then let her go. “This calls for a party! Come on lets go see what I’ve got in the fridge.” He turned away and walked to the door.

Lynn couldn’t control herself, she walked up behind him and wrapped her arms back around him. She wanted to feel his warmth one last time. She wanted to feel the comfort that he brought her one last time.

“…Lynn?” Sin tried to turn around but she only held on to him tighter.

“Please…just…wait here.” Lynn held tight to Sin resting her cheek against his back as tears fell down her face once again. She stood there for a minute, then pulled away and headed for the door. Sin reached out and grabbed her wrist stopping her.

“Lynn, what’s going on?” She slowly turned around and looked up at him. Any trace of his huge smile was gone. His face was straight, he almost seemed mad.

“I….” Lynn pulled her wrist from his hand and turned away not able to look at his face. “I’m moving, today.”

“What?” She heard him take a step closer to her.

“Sorry I didn’t tell you sooner… I just couldn’t work up the courage. Sorry I kind of killed the happy mood. I’m really happy for you guys though. Sorry I just can’t stay and see how it works out.”

“Stop apologizing.” She heard him take another step closer. She heard a car pull up and honk it’s horn.

“Sorry I didn’t tell you…I’ve got to go now. Good luck to you guys, I hope she really makes you happy.”

“Lynn.” Sin started walking towards her. She opened the door and turned around to face him. She had stopped trying to hold in her tears, they now flowed freely down her face. He stopped and looked at her, not really sure what to think.

“I’m really going to miss you. I’ll call the first chance I get.” She smiled the best she could then walked out the door leaving him standing there.

She walked to the car as the tears started flowing faster. He wasn’t chasing after her. A part of her wanted him to come after her… but it was selfish of her to wish that. She made it to the car and climbed into the passengers seat. The car pulled away, but she couldn’t look back at his house.

Sin’s mind was racing. He walked out of his room and sat down on his couch trying to figure everything out. Sin’s mom walked into the room and ruffled his hair.

“Hey Hun.”

“Mom…she’s gone. Lynn moved.” She set a hand on his shoulder and patted it softly.

“I know, it’s sad isn’t it. She was such a nice girl. You’re really going to miss your little girlfriend aren’t you.” She pulled her hand away and headed towards the kitchen. “Do you want something to eat?”

“…But I asked Mai out.” Sin sat still on the couch still trying to work it all out.

“Oh you did?” His mom was calling to him from the other room. “I’m surprised you didn’t ask her out. That girl really loved you.”
