Well, I found out about 3am when I woke up that my dog, Lassie, was passing away. She was a 17 year old border collie with mainly black fur. She was the sweetest old dog. And damned ornery to boot. I found that that she was having a stroke when I first got home from work, but I was so tired that I fell asleep and it wasn't until I woke up that she was passing away from me. So as a result I am changing my avie to fit my lose of my dog. She was so sweet and she was even nice to cats. (Most of em anyway) I have her life time of doggie moments, now the only hard thing to do is to tell my younger sister. My mom and older sister know, but the youngest doesn't. And I was the one who elected to tell her. To top it all off I am leaving to head back home today. That's a 5 to 6 hour trip and I have to wait about 2 to 3 more hours. The only bad thing is that it's my time of the month to shine. So all in all I think this is one of those damn hated nights. I know I hate it. Well, back to my pooch. She will be burned by my uncle. I don't know why, but my family cremates the animal companions we have. Lassie died somewhere between 1 and 3 am this morning. I miss her already. She was such a good dog.
