Main Character: Makoto Kubota.
Summery: Makoto Kubota wandered through life, not taking things too seriously or looking too deep within himself. His job as head of the Izumo Group's youth gang kept him pleasantly occupied with yazuka wars, mahjong and assassinations...
Until the day he stumbled upon a strange drug called Wild Adapter that produces bizarre side effects...including death. Forever changed Kubata becomes entangled with a drifter named Minoru Tokito, and the two form an unlikely companionship that draws them deeper into the mystery of Wild Adapter. My View: Without reveling too much all I can say is I am in awe, Minekura-Sensei has wowed me once with Saiyuki and again with Wild Adapter. Its an entirely different world, different story, and awesomer characters. But it's also a whole three leagues ahead maturity wise. Its full of sex, booze and betrayal. This is NOT for kids under 18 at all. ((Although I am 15, I have read a lot of more adult books and I don't know what you all's level of maturity is so I am sticking to the original rating.)) Expect lines like "Ditch me and you will be sucking your own c**k and I bet it ain't as sweet as mine." and "You know I like p***y babe." If you have no idea what those mean DON'T READ THIS MANGA. It also has A LOT of gayness in it. It also references Illegal drugs and has acts of them being used. if you are a fan of Saiyuki I cannot guaranty you will like this, it's quite a bit different from it. If you like things like FAKE and Ai no Kusabi check this out, you will love it I'm sure.
