Just Let Me Digress
My avatar is now two years old! Yes, it's been that long already and hopefully I'm no longer a noob, but I am still very poor...
Congratulations!
COLOR has signed with Label X!

We have been sending reporters to all major labels this week, asking around to see if any of the record labels are thinking about signing new talent.

Two nights ago, one of our reporters scheduled an interview with Whitney Jones one of the producers of Label X. Just as the interview was about to start, she received a few call on so she excused herself back to her office. After a few hours, Jones emerged from her office in a very happy mood.

She told the reporter, "Put this in the paper, a new generation of music is coming."

Upon asking who had just called her, Jones retold the whole story. She admitted to having send a few agents out to find new bands or musicians. She mentioned a few new bands and singers have considered signing with them, but then broke away during the probation period.

"Not many kids these days can handle fame or working full-time", Jones said, "We want our musicians to focus on their music and commit to us."

Out of all the new musicians that Jones' agents have gathered together only one singer, Heraclea Linde and the bands LUCK, NO EVIL, and COLOR agreed to meet a second time for the contact.

Jones hopes they will all be able to compromise and reach a successful contract that will benefit both parties. She thinks this new batch of musicians are stronger and will not be quitters. Jones cannot wait to meet her possible new prodigies, hence she cut the interview short in order to make a few last-minute revision to the contract.

Luckily for us, COLOR met up with Jones yesterday and already signed the contract by today afternoon after a bit of compromising. Jones wanted to sign COLOR up for at least 5 years, but Grey negotiated the contract into one year. Her reason was that her band members are still young and should still have a life outside of the industry.

The band members' parents, who were required to be present due to their children's young age, agreed, especially Pink's father, who happened to be lawyer. Then they proceeded to deciding the hours of work. No one liked the idea of the 8 hour shift. The hours were shortened to 5 hours and changed to start after school. COLOR did not mind working on weekend either as long as it was only half-days. No one minded when Jones changed the profits to 60-40 for compensation.

According to COLOR, no one really needed the money desperately. Well, everyone except for Grey who might need some extra cash for college next year. But Grey said, "It's okay. I will slowly work my way. Who knows? Maybe I'll make just enough money to live through college."

Jones had the contract rewritten and prepared by the next day. Upon careful inspection from Pink's father, he announced that the contract seemed to be in place so everyone signed.

Welcome aboard, COLOR! We congratulate you on your signing and hope you have many good years to come.
