Those who do not fear their blade are not fit to wield it.~ Shuhei Hisagi
CHAPTER 13

I came to hanging upside down. I was still on the wire they had caught me on. I undid and flipped myself on to the floor. I was in a small room and the door was cracked.

I didin't even question it! I quietly walked and looked around. I walked straught ahead being more careful than before. I looked in front of me to see a girl.

Her hair was pitch black and in a ponytail held by a long blue ribbon. She was wearing a plain sky blue dress that was torn on the ends. She had hazel eyes that seemed to sparkle. If you would've mentioned Anarya right then, I wouldn't know who the hell you were talking about!

She stood there with a big smile. I looked all around once more and asked, "Who are you?"

She took step toward me and answered, "I don't have a name! So give me one!" still with a big pretty smile.

"Give you a name?" I asked. I was bad at coming up with names. I leaned against the wall and scratched my head. In my head, I fumbled with syllables until I finally said, "Sherry! Easy!'

"I like it! she said.she grabbed my hand and pulled me along. "Come on! Hurry, or the guards'll get us!" She didn't have to tell me twice! She laughed. Nothing seemed to get her down.

Finally, she stopped at the plain white wall that seemed eat the inside of the building. "What? It's the wall?" I said. I was constantly looking over my shoulder.

Sherry made a fist and aimed at the wall ahead. She pulled back and "BOOM!!" she punched the freakin wall! Hard! She straight-armed the wall and it did not break, move, or even crack! She held her fist to the wall and squeezed her eyes in pain.

Blood from her knuckles began to drip down the wall. I was shocked! Just frozen in place. Sherry pulled her fist from the wall and let out a little yelp in pain. Her bloody fist was imprinted on the wall.

Then the wall opened like a door! I was going crazy but I dared not make a sound. She took me in the darkness beyond this hidden door and it closed behind me. Sherry looked at her hand and flexed her fingers. It was fine! Perfect! Just like it was before! We walked into a narrow well lit hall. I grabbed her hand and searched and felt for loose or broken bones. None. No redness or swelling or anything!

She was fine! "What the hell Sherry?! What the hell?!"

She giggled and pulled her hand back. "You're not from here are you?" she asked. The question was more rhetorical than anything.

"How obvious is it?" I replied witha small laugh.

Instead of answering, she explained. "There is a reason we are nomads..." she began. "We are a special race, we are. The tales and yarns of old say our ancestors were paid assassins or mercenaries. It is this curse why they thought us so useful. Our bones, unlikemost, heal rapidly if broken! Some thought us demons, sowe lost our jobs and we constantly move with the winds."

Even 12 galaxies away people are cruel as they can be. "Even if you are the way you are, I still really like you!" I said to make her feel better.

Sherry gripped my hands harder and said, "Your fingers...they're cold!" as if its never been heard of.

"Oh, they're always like that!" I replied. I gently pulled them away and shoved them in my pockets. We walked on and I folowed her into a large room. They were lots of people and they were all engaged in various mundane activities. Sherry waved and said hi to a few of them as she led me on.

"These are the hidden rooms no one knows about! We broke the cell doors long ago and found this place!" she explained.

I was confused. How did they get out if they were in those cells I was at? "There were Cantharans in the cells! How come they're not here?" I asked her.

Sherry hung her head solemnly. "They chose to stay back. They, as the oldest of us, felt they owed us for getting them at least this far in a lifetime," she said. About a moment of silence passed. She perked up and said, "So we respect them for that! We always have!" Like I said, nothing seemed to get this girl down.

She grabbed my hands again and pulled me along. "Come! I want you to meet my mother!" Sherry's face beamed as we walked down a dim, yet wider hallway. We came to a door covered by tattered sheets.

"I'm back! It's me!" she called. She ran in and I stood there. She popped back out and snatched me inside. "What are you doing?" she asked witha giggle.

Past the sheets was a room about as big as mine. It had two beds and another door straight ahead. The walls were adorned with strings of beads and painted shiny rocks on little tables.

The room's light was an orb connected to the ceiling. A woman, no taller than me walked out of the door straight ahead. "Back so soon Symida?" she asked.
