Silent Wings.
These two weapons, a zweighander and cutlass, were accidentally forged to work together in perfect deadly harmony. Their creators were twins who took a bet to see if they could create the best weapon the world had ever seen. Their simple competition quickly turned into a fierce war between the two. One then offered his soul to a smith god to remove the unwieldy weight from his blade, while his brother offered his family to the death god to give his smaller sword the underworld's powers. With anger in their hearts they forged their weapons one last time and went to battle one another.
There was no victor, as they were found impaled on either's blade.
Rantan the Greatsword has a silver serrated blade, covered in faintly glowing black lanterns engraved on both sides. It's edge is jagged and bitten, Clearly not meant for clean cuts. The guard resembles a butterfly, its wings inlaid with bronze and gold.
It was masterfully forged and is almost the same weight at it's partner.
Burikka the crescent cutlass made of an unusual gold material with red flames engraved from the tip to it's hilt. It was created out of anger and draws power from an alternate plane of existence. It's edge is razor sharp. The guard resembles a moth, inlaid with onyx.
There are single special abilities for these swords, as they are mainly weapons used to cut, slice, slash, impale, maim and decapitate enemies.
Rantan can amplify it's weilder's magic, while Burikka can take the brunt of any magic attack and absorb it, before firing it back.
Ironically their names mean "Lantern" and "Flicker".
These earned Deugaro the title of Butterfly Soldier.
