My D.Gray-man's, Let Me Show You Them... |

Some little girl asked her father a question the other day, and I remember the innocence of the question made me laugh and want to go, "Awww..." all over the place, unfortunately I can't remember what it was. It figures.
Oh, I got the same fortune cookie THREE TIMES about a week ago. When my aunt and uncle were visiting they got Chinese take-out (I wish I knew from where, it was so much better than anything commercialized, must have been a Mom & Pop place), and I ate everyone's fortune cookies since no one wanted them. There were only 3 though, but each one had the same thing, I'll have to go look at them later and write out what it was, I left them on my dresser drawer as a memento. Maybe it was legit and The Great Fortune Cookie Gods were trying to intercept me cheating.
This girl on the bus pulled out her binder when she saw me looking at the D.Gray-man doujinshi I bought at the '07 Anime Vegas Con. She had a bunch of drawings of Allen, so I showed her my pencil boards I had bought as well. I still wish they had had more of the ones Emi bought out from under me. At least I have my giant Timcanpy plushie. I'm pretty sure he's one of those Hong Kong knockoffs though because even though he's so big, he's missing his huge long wings. The coolest part though is his ears since they're made with wire you can bend them around. Nice feature.
Sophia's been sick, and either she or Emi gave me the cold, because I still haven't gotten over it. Her "Terrible Two's" are beginning to come up, I let her hold Timcanpy while she laid on my bed after she woke me up one morning, and when I went to grab him, she pulled away and said, "No! Mine, no yours!". She is definitely not taking my plushies, I might be 18 years old, but my toys are not her toys.
This weekend has definitely been eventful, I kinda miss going to work, they cut my hours incredibly, so I've literally been going in at random when my scheduled says available because of what our HR guy Skip told me a few weeks ago when I wasn't even on the schedule. I've been sticking with that plan and hopefully I can rack up some hours. I have a little squared away which is my "Pay Sonja Back" fund. I'm not sure if I should try to wear something cool for the Renaissance Faire or not. I don't think so, I just want a nice sweater or some jeans, it's finally starting to cool down in this blazing city.
I need to ask for some days off too, which is stupid since I need the hours, but I'm not sure how my birthday weekend is going or if I want to go to every single day of the Renaissance Faire. I don't think so, mainly the one everyone is going to go to for J-Team.
The Artist Alley at AV Con had some great stuff, I found some users on Deviant Art, and I plan to commission some of them for art projects, they're not as stingy as some of the people on Gaia thankfully. Russell said he's begun working ona comic. I think he should try for some of the Graphic Design work for next year's convention now that Jennifer has apparently quit on us. Even after all the stories and rumors I heard from everyone, I wanna hear her side of the story, but I know she's going to avoid the convention forums or Las Vegas Otaku, so I need to find a way to get in touch with her, I bet she feels everyone hates her.
And then this deal I heard about Chris (Taiki) blamming Rich on the forums and uploading all the statistics and numbers for the convention proceedings (which definitely should not have been available to the public) and then going on to say Rich doesn't deserve to be Convention Chair?! I don't know what's up with people, but I don't get why everyone is stabbing Anime Vegas in the back like this. What happened to it just being a non-profit organization? I thought we were better than this, I know things like Anime Expo and Otakon are bigger than us by a huge stretch, but we're a tight-knit community not some industry run convention. It's supposed to be about "for the people, by the people".
It seems people are losing their way. sad
