the image of perfection..... defined differently by everyone... each individual has their own view on what perfect is.... and they all try to achieve that perfection because that is what society wants them to be... THAT image of perfection.... society crams it into every one's head that they aren't worth anything unless they are the common perception of perfection is.... whether it be a flawless body, skin and hair, or just what everyone expects you to be. the image of perfection, being too skinny and practically all feigned, tears us all apart... we drive ourselves to irrational extremes trying to be what everyone wants us to be... starve ourselves.... make our self plastic.... cover our faces with so much makeup that nobody can see your true face..... and overall basically destroy who we really are.... for a cause that isn't even worth it.... the reality is, nobody can be perfect... only one person who has ever lived has been perfect.... that person is Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.... was he flawlessly beautiful and covered with makeup? more than half of his body remade with plastic? did he deprive himself of food to be deathly skinny?
nobody should waste their life trying to be what somebody else thinks they should be... that doesn't mean that you should slack off on things you aren't good at, or be cruel to people because that is what you would naturally do... it just means that you shouldn't' try to be something you're clearly not... that statements together sound hypocritical, like they cancel each other.... but there is no real way to explain that without going against it... i admit that i try to do some things to impress someone else or to live up to some one's expectations..... but overall i am my own person..... and i don't want to be anything else
