sweet dreams
tommy said his prayers and climbed into bed. his mom had told him to think of nice things before he went to sleep so he could have sweet dreams. wiht a big smile on his face tommy stretched out put his hands under his head and said lets see whats the first thing i want to do tomorrow? it was butterfly time where tommy lived. maybe tommy and his friend scott could watch the butterflies in the open field next to tommys house. scott and tommy together had counted over a hundred butterflies there yesterday. just think said scott. these butterflies used to be yukky caterpillars. now theyer flying fast through the air. theyve forgotten about being caterpillers.tommys eyes began to close. he dreamed he was a butterfly and the soft wind was carrying hi across the field. whoops!! je ;amded pm a mushroom a blue one! tommy was growing tired of being on the mushroom. maybe ill turn myself back into tommy and watch the ants for a while. i jsut love to see them scurrying he headed for the big anthill. tommys mother had told him that ants were the strongest insects in the world. he believed that because he watched them carry sand around. they were hurrying around the anthill each one bbusy doing his job. tommy stayed for about ten minutes and then decided he had watched the ants long enough. dianne tommys sister had found some baby birds that day. she even held one that had fallen from its nest. but of course dianne wouldnt let tommy hold it. she was th big sister and tommy was only a little boy much too little to know how to hold a baby bird! hah!!!! now ill be able to hold that little bird. maybe i can even hold two birds!! tommy was really having a good dream this time. when tommy finally found the nest mama bird was guardint the two little ones and wouldnt let tommy get near them not even in his dream. now what will i dream aobut? hmmmm im beinning to smell pancakes and bacon and yummy cinnamon rolls. i sure hope this isnt a dream because im very hungry. tommy! tommy!! its time to get up. breakfast it ready and waithing called mother. did you have sweet dreams last night? what did you think about tommy said?
