Into the water I come crashing down,
In a sea of tears I drown.
Slowly falling... slipping away,
Life's balance has begun to sway.
My essence fades...I'm almost lost,
Life's fire died by night's frost.
The darkness grows..killing the light,
Killing the hope for which I fight.
The sun has gone..my strength is gone,
The dark's the knight, and I'm the pawn.
Striking me down with his sword and shield,
Now broken I lay in an empty field.
An empty field of tears and pain,
An empty field soon filled with rain.
Memories flashing from eye to eye,
I hold my head and start to cry.
Aloud I cry, but no-one's near,
I finally face my one true fear.
Alone..I am...alone I stay,
Lost..alone and cold I lay.
I cannot move..I cannot run,
My being passed with the sun.
I open my eyes and look above,
Not alone..here's my dove.
Black as sorrow, black as death,
I barely hold onto my breath.
I try to pass..try to let go,
But something inside keeps saying no.
Keeping me here..broken,
No more words are spoken.
Alone..again..abandoned once more,
Free..a spirit..I long to soar.
Roam the skies..escape the sea,
Escape the sea that's captured me.
