Clef's Journal
A cure for my itch.
Wonderful world of thought
I suppose its time for another insightful journal entry by the non to brilliant Clef. This journal entry will be about.... Don't know yet actually. I'll just cover the base ground for now. I have internet back, so feel free to bother me with little PM's here and there, I love random pm's. I'm also out of school now, had my graduation ceremony just a few days ago. Yay! No more public school! But nobody reading this cares about what I'm doing, so I'll just get to the juicy stuff, the topic.

If you didn't know I did have my internet turned off, that went first.. then my cable television. During the first day that those luxeries were turned on.. I had a kind of revelation I suppose you could call it. I was sitting here on my ghetto chair, holding my keyboard cause my ghetto desk broke.. and I was just about to get on the internet.. the thing I've been missing for over a month, and the thing I was overly excited about getting back to. But right when I clicked to get on the internet.. I didn't know what to do with it.. I have this thing.. and all I was doing was just sitting there starring at my desktop picture. I could have surfed the net.. but for what? I could have come to Gaia.. but I didn't.. I could have played a game.. but I did that the entire time I didn't have internet. Instead.. I turned on some music, left my computer and went to draw. It was when I did this that I came to realize what I did. People and all people hunger for entertainment. Video games, television, internet, theme parks, or sports. But after you've done all those, and done everything to do around you.. then you have to go out and search for more. But the world is only so big.. how far would you go for entertainment.. what boundries would you leap just to have a little fun. Sooner or later even video games, television, and all sorts of new technologies will get old and boring, then its human nature to find something with more thrill in it, and at the rate technology is going.. who knows what will come next. But what if technology doesn't advance fast enough.. a good deal of murderer, rapist, and convicted fellons do what they did because they found it entertaining, or loved the power trip.. and whats to stop a normal teenager from deciding what he is doing was boring, and go kill people just cause he hadn't done it before.

I guess what I'm trying to get to.. is well.. centuries ago, when people didn't have the technology we did, they still managed to easily entertain themselves. Playing out in the fields, going on adventures with your friends, hunting, puppet shows, reading, writting, or just story telling. Today, we wouldn't call this high class fun, but to them, it was awsome. Today, we can still do these things, and much much more, but we still sit down and say, "I'm bored..".. how? If you just look around, you can find millions of things to do. Clean, read, write, draw, think, take a walk, make something.. the list is endless. So how does one actually become bored!? I've said it tons of times in my life, but there was always something for me to do, and it was usually just a few feet away. I think people need to open their minds to more peaceful and relaxing forms of entertainment. Not high-end video games and thrilling rollar coasters. It reminds of what a teacher of mine said. She talked about how when a person rides a rollar coaster they love it, and then want faster and more thrilling.. so they ride and ride and ride.. till they get to the fastest, and most thrilling rollar coaster.. but after riding it.. what left is there for you to do? You've lived your life faster then you should have, and now you have to force your self to slow down, and slowing down isn't easy, isn't easy at all.
