afraid of the ending,
afraid of the pain.
afraid of everything that had made her insane.
she was dieing to leave him,
she knew it was right.
locked safe in her bedroom away from the fight.
that night he came home,
from his drinking all day.
locked in her bedroom she wanted to stay.
he broke down the door,
nearly scared her to death.
he beat her for nothing then turned and just left.
as she lye there life slipping away,
'my darling i love you" was all she could say.
