Dad's wife has been in hossy to get an operation to help with her type 2 diabetes and i didn't know cause I was down with the flue so i didn't go to church that week ( the only place i normally see them.) ... When I came back i found that it had been serious... much more serious than her usual operation (being class 2 insulin dependent diabetic is really no fun at all.)of having her eyes drained of liquid which seems to build up every year or so. I thought it was just that. Apparently not. This one involved stomach operations and by passes and stitches in five places and a seriously weary dad who is working but also caring for his currently invilid wife...
AND WE (MY SISTER AND i) HAVEN'T EVEN RUNG 2 CHECK ON HER! WE ARE EVIL AND DON'T CARE ABOUT HER... etc.
Still hopefully she's reassured now. We went around to her house with a 'we didn't forget about u' offering. Now i don't know about my sister but I'm just not someone who's comfortable with calling people unless it's for a specific purpose (bills to sort etc) I generally prefer to show i care in person or through gifts. I LIKE giving things to people who will appreciate them.

So hopefully we won't be hearing about this weeks later, the next time she's feeling neglected. ( she has a long, LONG memory when it comes to that sort of thing...) It's not that we don't care... it's just hat we don't much like calling now that we have, MSN and Texting and such... It's just that dad's wife isn't net savvie. (She's not interested.) I suppose i should've called but I claim ignorance and injury as my defense...
