Marina's Journal
I don't have a particular theme here. I'll post when I'm bored or I find something interesting. Read it if you want to, I could care less. It's just a means of putting my words on a screen so that at least I can see them.
Chapter one.....
Running Away
"Cause 1000 words have never been spoken. They'll fly to to you, passing all of the time and distance holding you, so spend it on silver wings..." Marina sang into the darkness of the night. Since leaving her home three month ago, she hadn't seen anyone in the woods, which didn't bother her. Being with people reminded her of her past. As she stoked the fire in teh middle of the cave she'd been calling home for the last two weeks, the wind and rain picked up outside, reminding her again that it had also been raining for the last two weeks. She walked over to her "desk" and opened her journal. Sometimes I wish I'd never met him. I know how unfair that is, to hate the one who saved me, but part of me died with him. I know he told me to keep living and have faith, but that was eight years ago. What am I supposed to do now? Marina shut her book, afraid to continue writing, afraid of what he would say if he ever showed up. Marina looked down at her torn black pants and he ronce long-sleeved black shirt. "Heh, he wouldn't recoginze you even if he DID come back!" she said to herself, undoing the black drop necklace around her neck, one of the few remaining pieces of her grandieur from before. She pulled off her fingerless black gloves, but hesitated before removing her ring that rested around her right middle finger. His last gift to er glistened in the firelight. As she was reaching to pull it off, something entered the cave. A familiar, demented, deep-throated laugh resounded off of the walls and the wind, once blowing across the entrance of the cave, now blew straight into is and extinguished the flames. "Come out, come out wherever you are..." a voice called tauntingly from the darkness. "s**t!" Marina hissed under her breath as she unsheathed a sword inscribed with dark blue roses. Her past had just caught up with her.
