Roses are bought and sold for all occasions, and have the title of being the most romantic flower in the world. Why? Is it because of the color, the scent, the use of an aphrodisiac... Nay.
What a rose truly is... is a woman. It is so full of life, yet contained in such a small form. It's scent is heavenly, that can enthrall even the most wild of beasts. The subtly of it's form, is so beautiful... for it is elegant, refined, yet can be sultry. The rose blooms in the center, exposing it's weakest part first, showing courage and is steadfast against hardship. The pedals are so soft and silky, ...creamy, but so easy to damage. The pedals curve and sway, as wonderfully shaped hips, showing passion and strength. But even the most goregous of roses have thorns, used to protect it against any aggressors. The rose bud are kept atop of the bush, showing the climb one must take to earn the trust of the whole being.
All these traits are found in a woman, and to give her something to remind her of what she is, how beautiful and needed she is to the world... how strong she can be, yet the delicate care required to make her happy, that's a wonderful gift. Roses to me are never over used, for I know why they exist, and know their purpose. It is so much more than a mirror, since that can only show the physical form of her, but not her soul.
