During the parts of night in which I couldn't sleep, I thought about Draco's Wrath.
A crew before us had tried to overthrow Carnaso and his soldiers. They were quite powerful, and they had a varying way of doing things. They were completely unpredictable but they were able to execute every attack s though they had done them over five-hundred times. Skold told me about this crew during a long night's dream.
They were great warriors, their leader was no one, at least they never felt there was one. Everyone got to be leader. The one that appeared to be leader most times was Skold or Angel. He told me that his crew originally wasn't called anything, they had always come into battle and left without being spoken to. They had a form of telepathy with eachother between Angel, Skold, Infernox, Mortar, Twist, and Tsu. (Short for Tsunami)
This was how they performed every attack they composed close to flawlessly. None of them really showed mercy for the enemy, all had been hurt by Carnaso. Nobody on the team ever showed their weakness, they were always ready and enjoyed battle with the soldiers.
They were given the name Draco's Wrath for the way they had fought, like an attack from Draco, King of the Dragons himself, they entered a land of complete and utter disorientation, destroyed and obliterated the enemy, and then left the battlefield without a word. Leaving a plain of order, and renewed strength. He had told me that even though it appeared they were untouchable, they were hit and injured quite a few times. Leaving them to recover for a day or two every time, they were quick healers.
Of course, battle wound up bringing them close, and after a while relationships formed, Tsu began to go out with Twist, and Skold and Angel were going out as well, both of the couples had promised that when the war was over that they would devote themselves to eachother. As for Infernox and Mortar, they were both guys, so they just wound up being a good pair of brothers.
But then the fateful day came, Carnaso had surrounded them with his clones, a constant onslaught had gone through the clones, but they were always regenerating, one-hundred clones later, Carnaso finally won.
"It was blind of us to not see the easy way to get those clones off of our back, we were injured and didn't think straight, Carnaso's clones were made to be as strong as he was, and we spent a whole week on those clones. We should have gone with a shield around us, and then gotten the heck out of there as fast as we could.," Skold said depressingly. "We were ready for him, but we couldn't get to him, before he got to us with those stupid clones. From what I hear, he exerted over three quaters of his energy. Had he of fought like a man, we'd of had him."
But they didn't get him, the hope was lost in a lot of the realm. Soldiers were invading towns, in which dropped like flies to his rule. That's when they had sought us out, Me, JP, Jax, Dax, Keira, and Sig. Sig had Mortar, Dax had Twist, Jax had Infernox, Keira had Tsu, and the others are obvious. Draco's Wrath became reborn.
We had realized that we were like our counterparts, we were quite the team.
Draco's Wrath's powers had been given to us as a great gift, Twist used the wind, Mortar had earth, Infernox had fire, Tsunami obviously had water, Skold had dark energy, and Angel had light energy. We all had the same kind of experiences when we were merged with them, we were cornered and scared. Then we were thrown a line by the six, given a chance to live with pride, and meagerly allow them to live and merge with us.
We were ready for Carnaso, I knew it, but we had to make it to Carnaso before he would finally conquer the rebellion, if he takes that out before we can reach him, he has the world, and we lose.
This war is going to either free us, or kill us, and we aren't going to die until the war is over.
