By the late 1340's, this terrible disease spread from Central Asia to the European countries, thus earning its title as the worst pandemic in history. Within 8 days, ninety percent of those who contracted the disease died. It is believed that the origin of the 'Black Death' came from fleas and was spread by bitten rats. So many people were dying rapidly that many bodies were left to rot among the fields outside of the cathedrals, some not even dead yet. Those souls now wander the earth, searching for their rightful graves, begging to be set free from the decay upon their broken flesh and the horrible, ugly rat that gnaws on them eternally. Blood oozes from their wounds. I wouldn't get too close, if I were you.
