There's a series of books called Redwall written by Brian Jaques. The Redwall series is pretty much animal fantasy set in the past--around the medieval times. Brian is one of my favorite authors and his style of writing is sooo good! Sometimes it is hard for me to put the book down when reading. His books are full of imagination and wonderful characters! If you haven't read the series, I suggest you checking a book out at your nearest library. 3nodding
