i lost my soul yesterday
my heart frozed over yesterday
happiness was driven off yesterday
i have not thought since yesterday
love was torn apart yesterday

yesterday was the day
the day of my doom
my doom to be eternally gone
eternally gone, yet still there

i sit in this world of my own thinking
yet i am not thinking
for yesterday i lost my will
my will to do as i wish

i cannot love
i cannot hate
i cannot act
i cannot debate
i cannot scream
i cannot cry
i cannot help
i cannot hurt
i can't tell why

i don't know pleasure
i don't know happiness
i don't know plain
i don't know sadness
i don't know hunger
i don't know loneliness
i don't know joy

yet from all of this i tell
i know that yesterday
was the best day of my life?
was the worst day of my life?

oh no, but mortals have yet to understand
understand that the most wonderful thing in life
...is not love, happiness, nor pleasure
...is not hate, sadness, nor plain
but death
death, for i have lived my life
my life to the fullest
and at last
yesterday
i am free
