CHAPTER 1
The crystals illuminated a blueish green color. Tiny water droplets dripped off the stagtites slowly making puddles at the bottom. The cold air chilled the dark damp cavern. Water swayed back and forth in a rocking motion. Silence filled the cave.
Suddenly the silence was broken by the sound of footsteps. A figure walked through the ancient cavern slowly. His black boots splashed against the puddles as his cloak flapped behind him. He arrived at the mini lake in the cave. He bent over and cupped his hands scooping water into it. Tiny droplets fell through his pale fingers. He drank it slowly admireing the taste. His hood fell back revealing his face. Black hair fluttered outwards from the tight space. His earthly green eyes opened as he looked upon the crystals that reflected in his eyes. His boyish face smiled at the beauty. The cold air sent a chill up his spine a bit.
He slowly got back up making sure he wouldn't slip. The light from the crack on top of the cave glowed upon him. He walked out of the rocky room and into the maze in which he entered. The darkness was a bit to much for him but luckily the crystals helped a bit. He quietly reached the enterance. The sun blinded him for a second as he put his hood back on. The green pine trees shook a bit in the wind.
He felt warmer now that he left the damp cave. A large black horse was tied to the tree. It stared towards him as if relieved. It neighed in approval as he walked over to it. He got out a note that was hanging from the bag tied to the horse. It read,
Dear Mathew,
Meet Fran at the alleyway in the town of Moonridge. She will inform you of the next route ok?
From Master Ridge.
Mathew nodded then placed the note back into the bag and got onto the horse after he untied it. He snapped the reins making the horse charge forward. Its huge muscular legs slammed against the earth making the debris fly in the air.
"This could be my chance to find you..." Mathew thought to himself as he stared ahead curious of what the future can hold.
