Wow. Christmas is in two days.
My big gifts that I asked for are either a car or a video camera. I put in the email to Mom that if I didn't get a car, I want something electronic and stuck in parenthesis a video camera.
If I don't get a car, I have no idea of how I'm getting to band. The way my schedule looks, which I didn't catch before, I have no time to get to one place to the next by shuttle. My Music 110 class gets out at 12:45, and Band starts at 1:15. That's 30 minutes, which may look like a lot, but when your Music 110 class is ACROSS campus, it's not. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from Edwards, the building it's in, to the dorms. The I have to factor getting up to my room to grab my horn and then run back down. That's probably another 10. That now leaves me 20 minutes. Then we have to factor getting to the shuttle stop. Another 5. Now I have 15 minutes. The shuttle, which leaves every 30 minutes, leaves at 12:42 and 1:12. I can't make the 12:42 shuttle for obvious reasons: class isn't out until 12:45. The 1:12 shuttle is cutting REAL close, and too close for my comfort. But let's factor my times into actual clock form:
Class is out at 12:45. 10 minutes to get back to dorm (12:55). Grab horn-10 minutes (1:05). Walk to bus stop- 5ish (1:10). Time it takes to get from campus to band hall? 15 minutes, factoring in traffic and the infamous 501 traffic light. (1:25)
Game over, pretty much. I can't be late to any of these classes, because I might lose my scholarship. If I get a car, that cuts off the time it takes to walk to my room and to the bus stop. Lookie there! That's 15 minutes! The 15 minutes I need to get to class! Imagine that.
I really need that car. I don't want to lose my scholarship, and I don't know how lenient Dr. Tully is when it comes to time.
