Wow, I haven't said anything in over 3 months. I want to get back on track with these journal entries, I've forgotten how much I enjoyed writing them.
Well, as for current events, last Monday I started a Session (equivalent to a Semester) of Summer School, to make up for a lost credit in Geometry. If I don't get it fixed up, I don't go back to my school. I've been planning on my senior events, like college applications, future plans, and keeping up my grades. Hopefuly the good grade I obtain here, can mask over my failing grade and bump up my GPA a little bit. I don't much like this being a senior, it means I'm at the homestretch, and it's making me realize how much I'm going to miss going every year, and being little and stupid for that matter. Now I'm going to be big and stupid. xp It was nice to see most of my friends walk up there and get their diplomas, and I got so nervous just watching them, I kept thinking I won't be able to go through with my own. All I know is, I just have to get into college, so I'll be the first in my family, and make my mom proud of me up there. Unfortunately, I've only gotten 2 colleges in mind. I'm going to have to get into it with the counselors.
I need to work out my schedule for senior year too. I don't think I got it sorted out with my counselor, and I have some room for classes, I think I'd like to take Psychology. I've been interested in human minds and stuff like that, and it would be the first year they're going to have it, so I'd like to be in the first class ever.
As for my current education, in summer school, I've been doing alright. I know I'll jinx it, but I didn't think it could have gotten worse than the first day, seeing as how we didn't even have a teacher. We got stuck with a substitute who they apparently begged to help them. They were about 10 or 12 teachers short, don't ask me how that came around, we're like the 49th worst state in the country when it comes to education.
This class has been pretty easy though, so I'm glad I'm getting an easy A. The only grade we've had was a test we took Monday, and he curved it so bad I got an A when the percentage was 82%. Turning in a blank paper was a C, so yeah, I'm pretty lucky. I've got plenty of friends in there, seeing as how I'm the one who knows most of the material. My closest ones my friends would never believe that they are. They're 3 girls, Florice, Gloria, and Ashley. They're all black, and it's funny seeing me hang out with them, but only in the class, I don't wanna ruin my rep, or theirs. whee <--- That's not racist by the way, it's just I don't have many black friends, because a lot of them think I'm geeky cause I like anime and stuff.
Other than that, there's Julio, Sergio, and Elizabeth. They're my "Interest" friends, the ones who play PSP and read Fruits Basket. Today Sergio let me play Twisted Metal using the WiFi on the PSP, and I played against some kid on the other side of the school. I lost, but it was fun to do that. Elizabeth was sketching Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure from Fruits Basket, she's pretty good for someone who just got into anime. I like Kagura too, she reminds me of my friend Amanda. The class is nice with these people, they get me through the day. Plus, the breakast and lunch is free, so I can't complain.
