At the bottom of the blade the 2 spikes protruded from the hilt one pointing to the top of the sword and one pointing to the bottom of the hilt. The hilt has a large grip zone near the blade with a ridged design,there is gold embroided on the hilt that continues on to the blade in a snake like fashion. The bottom of the hilt is much smaller than the higher piece. Tied to a nich on the end of the hilt is a black ornament, designed like a birds head with a wing protruding from the back.
